FWIW, I received an email from USD Charlie's Store today. It included the following picture  . The "coyotes" is in the same font as the endzones of the new turf. |

At first that eye reminded me of the NIL collective logo, but it definitely is not from that. I look forward to finding out more tomorrow!

Using the Coyote to make a logo isn't easy. It worked when we copied the Looney Tunes character, only because that character was recognizable. We had the logo at midfield forever where the Coyote stood on the words South Dakota, but the words took up 80% of the space and we hardly used it anywhere else. Seems like we are trying to copy state where they feature their animal mascot in all their branding. It works for them because it is consistent with their color scheme (even though throwing a rabbit preparing to take a dump on your shirt looks stupid to outsiders). Giving a black/white/gray dog red eyes hardly builds on our existing branding. Incredibly forgettable stuff here. Can't understand this one.

I almost drove down to vermillion from SF glad I didn't I was expecting like NIL money plan or plans for some new facilities this is not a big deal
