Irony, not really. More just shame and embarrassment. Sure, we could do better, but this projects to be a larger crowd than the YSU, UND, and Sac State games from last year. We’re trending positively. I anticipate tailgate vibes will be incredible.I still think one of the big problems is getting all the people who come to the tailgates inside for the game. Are we the only school in the conference who doesn't shut down tailgating at a given point before gametime and also allow people to go out and then come back in? Any insight on how other schools handle this?

Not directly related to the game vs the Salukis, but Emory Hunt of cbssports.com has some great comments on the Coyote secondary in this articleI hope this article is spot on because SIU will absolutely test our secondary tomorrow. Footballs will be flying for sure.

I do agree with you on that point, but the question remains: How to get everyone who comes to Verm for a Saturday into the Dome?

I love going back out to the parking lot to discuss the first half with my friends who aren't next to me.

I realized today that the last trip SIU made to Vermillion was the game where we handed the reins to Bouman. It was a considerable upset for USD on a remarkably late D-Days game. The game before that was in the playoffs. It's 3 years and counting that we have had significant games with Southern Illinois.

Wake up Coyote fans. Get some breakfast in you then get to the dome. I ended up helping the cause and buying another 4 tickets last night. Dragging some Sioux Falls friend along. I haven't checked the green dot thing, but I'm hoping we're getting pretty close to full. Man I'm pumped for today. Too bad the tailgate doesn't open at 6 because I'd sure as hell be there. Somebody tell Schemmel we need the lots to open 24 hrs before kickoff. Can you imagine a Yote nation campout in the dome lot?
I'm regards to the game, SIU is helping sorry for themselves with all the injuries. They'll be motivated but it won't take long before their heads start hanging. In the words of Ed Meierkort "Let's give them the ass kicking they signed up and send them home with some shitty pizza".

What a first half whoopin. I honestly don't know how much the SIU injuries are making a difference today, but we're making them look like a D2 football team. Just flat out dominance by our offensive line. We've been able to do nearly anything we want.

As many good throws Bouman has today, there are some that are incredibly inaccurate that have held back the offense to a degree. That's my one real gripe so far today. He hasn't been bad, but I'm sure he would like some of those back too.
Our secondary has been completely torched at times too. Good thing we've been good up front because we haven't covered well.
