Are you ever happy with the Coyotes? I actually agree at what he’s saying… we have really good talent at the skilled positions but we are not utilizing them enough… Bouman has always looked good against crappy teams. But at this level he should be more on the money with his throws, There were some unbelievable catches today but they didn’t need to be unbelievable. Too many under thrown and too many over thrown. Clean that up along with our solid running game we will be really good. SIU secondary was as bad as it gets however. SIU is not a crappy team and their secondary is far from as bad as it gets. Two really great catches, both by Galbreath, one where he had a defender draped all over him and the other along the side where the ball was placed in a very small window while Bouman was rolling left. Really don't know where you're coming from with the "too many bad throws". Maybe next game he'll have a 100% completion rate and you'll be satisfied.

So we sell way more tickets than people actually coming into the game? I don't get it Seems to me like that's the case. Brought a friend to the game yesterday and he was super impressed with the tailgate, but also that it didn't trans late to butts in the seats. I sit on the newer west side so all I can see is the east side and the middle section, E, which is basically sold out all season with season tickets had plenty of empties. Obviously, tickets sold but not being used. The end section on that side which is most likely walkups and single game sales was the fullest. Why buy season tickets if you're not going to show? I don't get it either.

He had a couple really nice deep balls hitting receivers in stride. Our receivers also were able to get more separation than they have. I think there was a long TD to 4 in the second half where Aidan just threw it out and let him run under it.

Which is a win/lose for all involved if that’s what’s happening when you drill it down.

I was there yesterday, but sometimes life has other things happening for me on Saturday’s. All my Yote friends know my tickets are steeply discounted though.

Maybe I guess. I think he does what he can with what he's got. He takes care of the football and moves the chains.

Always something to improve upon, but don't lose sight of just how dominant that win was. SIU had to go for it on 4th and 6 at our 12 in the SECOND QUARTER because the game was already so far out of hand.

Bouman's efficiency rating for all four games is 152 which is tied for third in the conference and his yards per completion is 13.3 which is second in the conference. And he didn't get to pad his stats against Portland State. Also remember since Josh Davis took over as offensive coordinator this has been a run first team. If you want eye popping passing stats Bouman can and has delivered them, but it's no longer this teams identity.

Bouman definitely had a very efficient day on Saturday. The whole passing game was designed and called off play-action "shot" plays that worked great because of a very very positive run game. They were Yes or No throws based off the WR winning his route so hard to tell what would have happened if they weren't there. He actually had a few terrific throws, one to Galbreath that got called back because of the penalty and one to Bell on a deep crosser for a nice chunk. He actually missed a TD to Bell of the same concept earlier, but he clicked off Bell and threw the out route late to Adams that ended up being out of bounds. Bouman did underthrow a few deep routes because he lacks the arm strength to throw those at times especially when he has to reset in the pocket, but we have seen that before, not a shot at all, just a reality. It will be interesting when a few teams in the league that can match up with our OL and not let us run the ball so effective. Can we sit back and throw it to win it in those instances? Diversity in the passing game is critical moving forward. I do know this, the other teams in the Top 10 either have a QB that can pass it and run it well or they have a QB with elite arm talent. It's vital to put guys in positions to use their skill sets as we move forward.
Adams is a "burner" and can run vertically for sure. He would scare the heck out of me because I know if he's 1 on 1 on a vertical ball or anything on the run he will win most of the time. So use him to get those vertical 1 on 1s or to clear the field for others to get open. Like most really fast guys, has a hard time controlling his speed and lacks a little body control to make difficult catches that aren't vertical. Had two examples on out breaking routes, one was dropped and one he didn't have the awareness of the sideline to control his feet to stay inbounds. Small sample size but apparent. Ask him to do what he is good at and if he gets that 1 on 1, good for us because everyone will meet in the endzone.
Galbreath is an absolute nightmare for defensive coordinators. He is too athletic for most LBs and too big & long for most safeties. Hash to hash he can dominate the middle of the field so use him there on hash seams (like his TD), crossers to use his speed, and basic digs over the middle. He is very very versatile so there is definitely more that he can do based off looks. Figure out how to get him involved NOW!
Bell is an excellent route runner and understands the game at a very high level and how to get himself open plus he is fast because he knows when to play fast to win and when to control his speed to get open. Need to figure out where to place him to utilize his abilities like last year. I've said this before and I'll say it again, he is one touch away from a TD if he catches it on the move past the LBs. Post routes, deep out breakers or in cuts, RPOs, and deep crossers.
Martens is a tough dude and will make the very competitive catches over the middle of the ball. Has never been a yards after catch guys but is a tough ombre that's very competitive so use him in that capacity to get his touches. He's that guys that helps get first downs and move the chains. Once in a while can run those out breakers but he has struggled in the past catching those balls clean. Is a great guy to be the 2nd or 3rd look if the #1 read is taken away because he doesn't mind the contact over the middle. Plus he's a terrific blocker!
