Anyone have any experience with the football game video feeds through usdcoyotes.com? I want to say that Buffalo Wild Wings last year projected an Internet feed of the UNI game, but I'm not sure if that was off the UNI site or our site. It would be cool to get a similar set up for the UC-Davis game, assuming the USD feed works reasonably well. Otherwise I'm pretty sure the game isn't on any satellite channel. It would be worth checking the website: www.channelsurfing.net/I have watched several USD games from channelsurfing.net - Most recently Central Florida and Cal Poly last year. This may be the best option. I also emailed Midco Sports network and they said if there is a local station doing the game in California they would work to pick up a feed, much like they did for the UNI v SDSU game and put it on one of their channels. They told me to check their website as the date gets closer. Hope that helps.

For any Yote fans planning on making the trip down to Davis...the weekend weather forecast calls for highs of 83 and 84 (Saturday and Sunday) with lots of sunshine. Should be a very pleasant evening, and a very festive crowd. Enjoy the trip! Hopefully, you give yourselves a little extra time to do some sightseeing while down here. Napa is beautiful this time of year, and the Harvest is in full swing. San Francisco should be beautiful this weekend also. If you do plan a trip down and need some suggestions, drop a line to one of us Aggie fans. Happy to help. And, stop by the Aggie Sports Talk tailgate (look for the HUGE flag in the festival area). Those guys will welcome you with open arms, and share the spirit of UCD!

Yotes, make sure your QB eats the hamburger at the hotel!

I think Vermillion High could put up more than 13 against Davis-Hurley.
Ohh, you mean USD v UCD. Yeah, way more than 13, more like 31.
Prediction final: USD 31 - UCD 27

It's actually Vibory-Hurley now, and I think VHS might have a tough time with them. They would win, but it would be tougher than what people think.
In terms of the USD game, it all depends what team shows up for this. I have no doubt the offense will be able to put up some points through the air, but will the run game be a part of it? I a lack of a running game outside of Warren might catch up with USD at some point, but I don't think this is that game. It would be nice to see Ganious get on track and to see the offensive line block better in the run game. Marcus Sims is showing me something right now though.
On defense, the front six, I am taking Adam Broders out of this, has to play better. They are having trouble getting a push and working off the block. USD has to make sure they don't let the UCD running game attack the edges and put an end to that early like against UND. That is on the shoulders of Cory Kuehl I feel.
The main thing will be to get a pass rush on UC Davis, who is dealing with a young quarterback. They need to get him rattled there, and USD's pass rush has been very below par.
I think USD does go on the road and beats UC Davis, and hopefully they are no looking toward next week's game against Northern Iowa at home.

Really wish this one was on TV.
Sounds like the Yotes were able to practice at the 49ers facilities. Ed & co. have sure done a solid job making sure the players get a chance to experience some of the local sights while on road trips.
Sounds like a great trip. Hope USD takes care of business tomorrow night.

this interaction between Yote fans and Aggie fans is really giving Internet Message boards a bad name. where is the hate?!?! where is the name calling!?! the derogatory comments!?!? seriously....i hope the game lives up to our hopes/expectations, and hope that the Aggies build on their momentum of last week. if any fans are coming down, enjoy the game, enjoy the atmosphere, and get out and see a really beautiful part of California. look for the Aggie Sports Talk guys in the festival area -> they will feed ya well, and make sure you don't suffer dehydration. its supposed to be in the low 80's tomorrow, maybe 70 at kickoff. but..GO AGS!

California sucks, what, with it's nice weather, and beaches, and beautiful mountains, and vineyards, and hot bikini clad chicks...damn I'm no good at this.
Let's kick some farm school butt! (Oh, the irony)
BTW it was 93 degrees here today, na-nana-nana-na.

it was about 75 at 'kickoff time' tonight, and its supposed to be a few degrees warmer tomorrow. it feels like fall (well, California fall). but, to make you guys feel at home, the cow barns are about 500 yards from our stadium (still pretty much brand spanking new), and you are ALWAYS treated to the whiff of methane on a nice night!
big day for both teams. A South Dakota win puts you guys in the driver's seat (with Poly your place), while a Ag victory gets us back to .500 and ready to make another run!
oh....uh...the Golden Gate Bridge is cooler than Mt. Rushmore!! there, take THAT Dakota fans!!!

The Bay area is definatly one of my top 5 destinations of where I would like to visit someday. There would be alot going on, good scenery, landmarks, etc.
My #1 key to this game is the team discipline. USD needs to go out to Davis and not step on their feet so often like in similar type road games in the past. When blocking a guy simply don't push in the back. It's not rocket science. Even if someone is going to make a tackle, leave them alone. The field postion is still going to be better by not committing a penalty. Watch the late hits as well.
#2 is defense and more specifically how the defense plays after they are faced with adversity. Personally whatever defense the Yotes choose to play based on the film I have no problem with. I heard Ed say something to the effect that USD had no answer to what NDSU was doing to them in the second half in Fargo. If USD doesn't have an answer they better be trying to change up the defense often.
If a bend but break is working and keeping the Aggies off the scoreboard plus keeping the D off the field that is fine. I typcially don't like that type of defense because it is usually not an aggressive defense. I do agree with #1CF that USD need to pressure this quarterback. He is still a bit raw and if USD forces his hand I like the chances of another 3 turnover game. If the pressure isn't there I don't think the Yotes will be as lucky. Too me a good defense is to take away time first and space second. The quicker the D makes the offense have to choose the better it will be for the Yotes as long it is on USD's terms. I haven't seen many real instances where USD has forced the issue by blitzing. If USD goes back to struggling on the D side of the ball I think blitz packages need to be used much more often. Personally I don't think the defense will play as well as they did at home against UND. I just hope the defense plays a smart game if nothing else.
#3 key and my #1 key for the entire season. If confused on what to do, always play to win. Usually teams tend to cower when confused or down a bit. USD needs to strike on both sides of the ball if faced with a situation where UC Davis has momentum. USD has not faired real well in close games on the road. If the Yotes play to win by multiple touchdowns they won't be faced with a tie game or OT like what happened in Vermillion last year. Field goal kicking is getting better but I still basically do not trust the kicking game in a big moment.
On offense do what is working. Don't over think it. If running the ball isn't working either don't run it or use different running plays. I agree with #1CF that we do need to see more of Sims. I also like the fear factor that Blount will bring to UC Davis when he is on the field. I think the best plays for the Yotes this game will be to spread the field with Blount, Powell etc. Spread the Aggies defense out and run the ball from it. USD needs to learn to get the runningbacks more involved with the passing game. Whether it be with screens, quick hitches or whatever. Those types of plays are always very hard to stop.
I predict this will be one of those games where USD will play well, outgain UC Davis have an early lead but lose in the end due to poor discipline, scared coaching and basically taking the air out of the ball.
I hope the Yotes can make it 3-0 West of the Rockies in Great West play. I think the game will go one of two ways. First the consolation prediction. USD attacks early and often gets a 2 touchdown lead and tacks on bit by bit to always keep the Aggies at arms length and end up winning by 10.
My actual prediction. USD end up stepping on themselves too often and turns what should have been an easy win into a 4th quarter loss.
I predict UC Davis wins the game in the last 2:00 by scoring a touchdown. Final score 30-27 University of California - Davis.

you have more confidence in the Ags than i do! our D struggled with Portland's pistol, and i see similarities with your offense...but, your QB looks more talented. we'll see, they've improved alot since then, but this is a big challenge.
our offense is struggling....i'm not sure we can outscore you, unless our young QB comes of age, as he did in the 2nd half vs. San Jose State.
the 2nd half of San Jose State was our best half of football, by far. agressive, big plays on both sides of the ball.
i'm hoping 24 points is enough to win. wish i could be there. first home game i'm missing in about 7 years! i'll be there following via radio with my healing wife.
