Jeremy Hoeck tweets that Sayler at today's Yankton QB meeting said no USD football games scheduled in Sioux Falls for 2013.

David Sayler also said that USD earned about $100K more than they would have had it been a home game.
$100,000 for a new D-1 program vs. Still getting beat at home and still being 1-10. I know what I would pick...

I know what I would pick... We agree on that point. I think the Coyotes should come back to Sioux Falls again. Maybe next time the team that leaves Vermillion that day to head to Sioux Falls is a little bit more competitive.

$0. If local business used rational thought they would realize that every dollar that goes to the U (from whatever source) directly enhances Vermillion and the businesses located there. Withholding donations because of a single game when the University had just cause for scheduling it would be shooting themselves in the foot.
Come on, man.

I for sure know of some businesses that cut support/did not give this season because of the game being moved. You can say rational thought, whatever, it doesn't matter, the fact is support was cut.
I was just pointing out that $100,000 came at a cost, both in terms of financial support overall and in goodwill. How much that $100,000 cost I do not know but it cost something.

I think we can put last season to rest now.
Looking forward to some tremendous signings. Looks like we are off to a good start.

Didn't Sayler say he didn't have any plans to move any games in 2013. That doesn't mean plans can't change.

So the away team can have another home game in Sioux Falls? Without ndsu or SDSU involved, I doubt they would make another 100,000 on that game since there was more green than red in the stands. The sponsors and ndsu fans showed their support, the sf fan base was lacking, as they historically do.

As a KU Alum I can't wait for the KU game Sep 7. First time I will walk into a KU facility to cheer on the opponent. Blood is thicker than water when my son will be on the field in coyote red. go Yotes!

My son is a KU grad as well. The stadium is on the smaller side but does have a lot of character. It won't be as intimidating as Wisconsin or Minnesota was in terms of crowd noise and involvement.
Less than 9 months away. Go Yotes

The KU stadium is small, but Lawrence is a great time. It has some classic character.
FYI, tickets are not difficult to get (shocker). When I went to the NU/KU game in Lawrence back in 2003 my buddies and I were able to get 2nd row 50 yard line seats for $30/ticket. It wasn't even that late, maybe an hour before kickoff.
Curious to see if Charlie Weis 2.0 can make any sort of improvement. Dayne Crist will be done and Jake Heaps will be eligible to play.

Their running game is going to be the issue for the Yotes. Sharp is an excellent RB They averaged over 200 yds rushing per game and everyone was stacking the box all year long. Should be a good test for the defense.
