Will there be a video stream of the game online? It is not listed as being streamed on the schedule.
At least, we won't be at a big size disadvantage as we were in the first two games.
Looks like it will be an interesting matchup. The Baggett twins aren't ready to hang up their jerseys just yet.

Hi mcneese72--The Coyotes have a normal video fee of $9.95 for a month. I watched the Coyotes vs Lamar on Lamar's site in conjunction with WBI for no cost. As of now WBI's site doesn't list the semi games yet so not sure if it will be free or not. I'm just a Coyote fan so unsure what USD's plan is yet. I agree it should be a good match up.

Wonder if McNeese State can bring the football team that still owes USD a trip to the Dome? No, well hopefully the USD women can help show just how unkind the Dome can be for McNeese. Come on Yotes! and come on fans, show up for this one!

Come on Yotes! and come on fans, show up for this one! First, Lamar doesn't charge for their video feed, McNeese does. Second, I forgot what year it was but McNeese had a chance to play a big money game with a BCS team and bought out the contract with SD to play that game. We paid you the agreed fee in the contract to not play the game. Hell, it has happened to us many times. We had a game scheduled with Texas A&M last season and they bought the game out so that they could play La. Tech in Shreveport. At least, we paid you the contract buyout fee. That is better than Southern U. did with us in 2005. Doc Geauxcowbouys Forum

Lamar backed out of a contract with USD and you saw what happened to them. The same fate awaits McNeese State!

Should be a good game. Word from Beaumont was that their best player was injured. That was their excuse for the Lady Cardinals laying the big egg. Looking at the stats, she played a whole 12 minutes and had 2 points instead of her usual 17 or 18. Last time we played them in Beaumont (with her playing) we beat them by 19. So, if that is any indication, the game should be close. I recommend going to the game to watch the Baggett twins. And when the younger sister gets in, you'll have three Baggetts in the game at one time. The radio broadcasters just have to say Baggett and they will have a 3 in 5 chance of being right. Doc

People buying out of contracts happen more and more now a days. We have been making the contract buyout clause bigger than what was done in the past. Last year, when Texas A&M bought out of our contract, they paid us $200K and we replaced them with Middle Tenn for $250 (I think that is what it was). And then we turned around and beat them. Just wish I could see the game. Should be a good one. Doc

Okay, the WBI Tournament website is updated and a link to the video feed is shown when you click on the WBI live tab. It brings you to the CoyotevisionTV page. Looks like it will cost a month to view but I'm willing to donate. Doc

Doc - I took the liberty to copy this post from the Cowboys message board. The only way the Yotes as a 7 seed got to host a game was to have the 8 seeded Cowboys make the semi's.
"Okay, Detroit wins by 3 over Penn in the first semifinal. That means whoever wins between McNeese and South Dakota goes to Detroit. And that means, there won't be any streaming video because Detroit doesn't have video streaming of games.
Also, I want to bitch about the seeding of the teams in the tournament. The highest seed always gets a home game so with us rated 8th in the west, we were almost guaranteed no chance to host a game. I don't know who in the hell seeded this tournament and how in the hell they did but I decided to go look at the Sagarin's Ratings for women's basketball. And McNeese was the third highest rated team in this tournament. The only teams rated higher were South Dakota and Detroit. The seeding sucks because we never had an opportunity to host a home game.
Okay, rant over, Doc"

Surprised Yotes were a 6 seed, also. Coyotes defeated our conference auto-bid to the WNIT, 3 times, and of course, the Yotes were a hare's whisker from going to the big dance, in 1st year of eligibility.

Okay, rant over, Doc"To clarify, I dont' have a problem with having to go to Vermillion to play South Dakota because you guys were ahead of us in the Sagarin Rankings or having to go to Detroit, if we were to win. My problem was the earlier rounds and no opportunity to host a game because of the way we were seeded. Just look at some of the Sagarin Rankings of some of the other teams in the tournament. Hell, we were seeded worse than Lamar and we beat them at their place late in the season by 19 points. And that was with their best player healthy. I think she was injured against you guys. I guess I should be happy for the women to be in the tournament but I would have like to at least had an opportunity for a home game in the early rounds. Okay, rant over, Doc

Tonight's winner gets Detroit. They were 71-68 winners last night over Pennsylvania last night. A little trip to Motown anyone?
