Gameday Fargo. ...In other news I have heard it's between SDSU and NDSU for the prospect from Vermillion. Don't know if that's fact, just the rumor. Forget putting up a fence around the state, we can't even keep Verm kids home. Losing a local kid may not mean a thing and I've thought that chances are pretty high a local kid will want to stretch out and move away from his hometown for school. I don't think it's a negative reflection on USD. I recall some years back when Chad Stark, running back from Brookings High School, went north to NDSU and had an outstanding career -- there was a little hand-wringing in Brookings but I think the decision is understandable. Yeah, especially in towns the size of Vermillion and Brookings. There's only one high school, you know the town and everyone in it like the back of your hand, perfectly understandable that one would want to leave town. Me and my sister both went to high school in Vermillion, I stuck around because of the great B-school, but my sister went up to SDSU to study Journalism even though there was a much better program in her own hometown.

I think the Vermillion kid is OT Nick Jensen Correct. Last I heard he wanted to go to State but I'm sure if NDSU came calling with a scholarship you couldn't blame the kid. I know USD has offered him as PWO. Neither SDSU or NDSU has offered anything.

I'd be very surprised if either XDSU offered him a scholarship. He's not even the best lineman on the team. If you watch him, he gets knocked back on most plays.

BTW, he's not even good enough to play on defense.

He is not tolerating much of anything, far cry from the previous staff. Being exposed to these kids on campus I can tell you there is a world of difference compared to two years ago. Hats off to Joe Glenn.

I think we need moe of this in the world of sports. Every year we hear of guys screwing up and most people say that they need 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. chances because they are high caliber athletes. In my mond, I athletes should be held to the same if not higher standard as everyone else. If an average student committed some of the offenses we see in college sports today, they would be expelled. No questions asked.

I'm with everyone else, kudos for Joe Glenn on this decision.
But really, story says "The recruit now plays for another Summit League opponent, Glenn said." Interesting that they're now at a mythical conference!

Interesting that they're now at a mythical conference! The Volante sport section does this kind of stuff often. This week's issue said Montana only had one loss thus far, when some very simple research would reveal that they have two. Or maybe they mean that the guy is at Western Illinois or one of the DSUs?
