LOL usdyotes--you're a dip and obviously don't up from down about fb!! Go away.... You are right I know nothing. I won't be going away for good but remember this. I can guarantee I know more then all of you about football. I also know way more with what is going on with the program then all of you. You can bitch and moan about what I say but its all true. All of you pipe smokers need to look at the program without having your blinders on. Our rbs were horrible this year anyone coming in? The oline has not improved and your switching to a new defense. Its December and it doesn't look good already. But the spring game will come and go and All of you will predict a 11-1 or a 10-2 record. But by the end of the season you will be bitching about everything. I am gone for now but will be back. Merry Christmas |

You need to accept others opinions. Am I as positive as most of you absolutely not. I don't make up crap so you can feel better. USD last year was very bad. Sorry to disappoint you but I know more then what you think. Also when all of you were smoking the pipe about a 10-1 or a 9-2 season I told you all they would be lucky to win 4 games. That being said good luck next season. With Houston on the schedule you might win 5 games now. |

This again? Tread lightly. You've made your feelings known about Simmons as the QB. Just leave it alone. I was replying to what someone said. What did I say wrong? He was 4-7 in my opinion he didn't know what he was doing. If that is bashing him people need to grow a pair of balls and deal with it. |

There is very recent history of a P5 QB transfer unseating a returning QB (and highly touted freshman QB), so there is a chance. Of course, usdyotes can't state a thought without trying to burn down the program at the same time, so it is hard to remember that when reading his post. Yeah, regardless of who starts next year (there is no way of knowing at this point), added competition and depth is always a good thing. I think bringing in a 3-for-3 transfer is more of an indictment of the backup QB's than the starter, especially given the fact that coaches were worried enough to chain Simmons to the pocket early in the season. We don't know how quick this new guy will pick up the system. He could be a stud that starts all three years, or he might need a development year. You actually think that Simmons is still the starter? No way in hell!!!! Do you really think this kid left ISU to come sit in vermilion to a qb that when 4-7? If that's what you think there is definitely something wrong with you. Sorry to burst your bubble but Simmons is done. I wouldn't doubt if he transfers.

Trying to be objective and non-biased......something has happened to this team pandemicably in all areas. It is evident there is no leadership. This is where I say your QB needs to be a strong leader and Simmons is not that. There can be other leaders for position groups but regardless the team leader needs to be the QB. One thing that was evident to me was ....there was not 1 throw to Karai the entire game......WHY? He is in the top five receivers in the conference and your playing the best team in the FCS and not 1 target pass to him! He amongst others were wide open in the seam numerous times and overlooked. Simmons does appear to be scared but I guess if you have huge lineman coming after you every game anyone would be scared. Also this senior class in general does not have the presence, respect and leadership of last years senior class. Stetson, Strevy, Wessell, BVR were leaders even when injured and not playing. You show me a team with absent leadership and I’ll show you a team with no cohesiveness or direction. I have not lost an ounce of faith in Coach Nielson... he will Identify and remedy any coaching improvements that need to be made on the off season.my concern is the culture of this team...that needs an overhaul. I fully support Simmons capabilities and athleticism and with experience he will get football savvy it’s his leadership ability that’s in question. A QB without leading ability is crucial in a football teams success. Some of you have mentioned heart and quitting, if the coaches quit the player will quit. I have read some accounts of what you heard and saw on the sideline in reference to certain coaches and if those things are true than there is your answer to the lack of fire and motivation this team appears to have. Offense: way too predictable... easy to scout and scheme against. Defense: on the field way to much and lack of pressure on valley QB’s. Also your free safety should not be your leading tackler game after game. This team has finish this season with some fight and fam support so they can go into the off season with some confidence and motivation. Well said!!! Watch out though they will be coming after you now. |

Wow!!!!!!! He is Horrible!!!! Don't care what anyone says. Or how you will try and make me look like a fool. That wasn't o lines fault. Get him off the field. Horrible Horrible Horrible. He is afraid That's a little extreme, In fact it's wrong. USD has the #2 passing offense in the league. Austin Simmons is #2 in total offense. Austin Simmons is #2 in passing average/game. You can find reasons to criticize him of course but you can't demonstrate he is incompetent in running the offense. He is one of the best in the league. Listed as a jr he can has time to work on the parts of his game that need improvement. Yes he is and how's that working out for you? Don't give me he is that and he is that give me wins. The problem is he can't. Again he is great against carp teams big deal. Beat an average team not even a good one but he can't. I know I know its the o lines fault. |

Maybe. Or you can keep making excuses. Own up to it you were wrong about him and it burns your ass. Don't bring my son into it he's doing just fine. Simmons is just bad period. So keep getting excited about beating crappy ass teams and be okay with it. Enjoy watching this crap. Just out of curiosity did you feel this same way about Streveler? He didn’t really tear things up his first season. No I did not. There is a difference between them. You could tell he knew what he was doing and was smart. He did way better his first year then our qb is doing. Also remember this his first year that team was worse then this team. The only thing better was the kicker |
