If she would happen to go I think we have a ready replacement everyone would be comfortable with.

Geno rarely, if ever, misses. And how can you NOT be a fan of UConn? Easily. Two words, twice. Notre Dame. Go Irish!

Not a big fan of UConn, but he's spot on about this.

This is true to some degree, but if it's one or even two posters who obviously have an agenda and constantly do nothing but criticize the program and every little decision made by the coaching staff...that's a problem. Even if it's not the player's fault it's a cancer that needs to be eliminated. A good friend who was a college coach once told me he called in a freshman player after the end of the season and told her that he thought she was going to be a good player, but that it was going to be at another school because he was done dealing with her dad. Take from that what you want. That's a different situation all together that would require some sort of direct interaction. If a coach is so soft that an online fan forum would make them do that, that's s different problem. Go read what the Bison fans post on their forums. It's 100 times worse than what happens here. I'd be willing to bet that if said person was chirping on here constantly that they'd also be in the coach's ear as well.

From what I know, we are lucky we only lost 3 to the portal/retirement. Jewett is the team's salvation, the players love and respect him! The toxicity of this forum doesn't help matters either. It is easy to hide behind an avatar, criticize and degrade a player or coach's decision. Heaven forbid anyone be held accountable for performance. I understand your player argument somewhat. They are kids brought in to do a job they may or may not be able to do. Your argument on coaching doesn't hold water. They're well paid to do a high profile job. They should expect professional criticism. Just because some of us disapprove of the job they do doesn't mean we are personally attacking them. Inability to separate the two puts a person in snowflake territory. This is true to some degree, but if it's one or even two posters who obviously have an agenda and constantly do nothing but criticize the program and every little decision made by the coaching staff...that's a problem. I wouldn't think we'd need a shooting guard with Stewart, Bruns x 2 and Burchill. Maybe a point and be able to move Holt to a small forward.

Gave up 54 points in the paint. Gave up a combined 44 points in the paint in the two previous games. No chance with that number. This is why in another thread discussing the new sign of Madison Hillman I asked the question, CAN SHE MOVE? It seems like all the centers that have been recruited the last couple of years have no foot speed. Height means NOTHING if you are froze to the ground or plod through the paint at the speed of paint drying. Watch her run in the game film. Not a sprinter obviously but she runs smoothly and effortlessly up on her toes, not flatfooted. That's the first thing I look at. I think she's strong, plenty athletic and is going to be just fine.

Hope Midco doesn't go the way of the Argus. We're lucky to have Elsen as are commentator. I certainly hope nothing happens to him.

Simply put, I think this team is going to be a lot of fun to watch next season, will be rated and make the playoffs. There might be a few bumps along the way for those of you who enjoy negativity, but that what makes sports interesting. I simply don't understand posters who are always pessimistic on virtually everything. And don't claim on just being realistic. For pete's sake have some fun and enjoy the ride.

Where is Holmes? What have I missed or forgot? Her dad passed away unexpectedly a few days before the Summit League Tournament so I'm guessing that she's not back on campus. What about our coach? Was she there tonight or did I miss something there? Coach Karius had some minor medical procedure and was in recovery. The funeral for Holmes' father is tomorrow.

I am watching the game. The Vermillion people must have done a poor job of promoting this game. The attendance is sparse. The team should expect a better turnout. It wasn't that bad, but I guess we can always count on you people to try and denigrate USD every chance you get.

I don't get the angst about the defensive line. Newsom, Gaes, Holden, Grace and Dunn all have logged a lot of playing time and have played well to great. I'm betting there'll be a youngster or two who steps up also.

What do you guys feel needs to be accomplished in the spring practices? Also, who and what positions need to emerge by the end of the spring? Exciting times because there will be some new blood getting shots this fall. Offense should be loaded missing only one starter, albeit a very good one in Isaac Erbes. Defensive line and backfield will miss some good to great players, but there was depth at those positions last season and a lot of strong experience returning. The most interesting position will be the linebackers. Be some new faces needing to step up to replace some real playmakers. That should be the most interesting competition for playing time.

A pretty effective night. I hope he keeps progressing. If he keeps putting up solid nights like this, he's going to stay. I hope you are right. You have to remember just how bad the Pistons are though. Bad in the NBA scheme of things, but still some of the best players in the world.

That is really sad about Walker. I think that she has voices in her ear that do not have her best interest at heart. She is not strong enough to go to a power five team, and does not have the footwork yet. But it is something that she was working on and getting better at. I think she was in the right place for her talent / skill set. I have a gut feeling that at least one of the incessant coach bashers on the women's basketball threads was one of those voices.
