That was a fun game to watch! I know the officiating seemed a little uneven quite a few times, both on missed calls and on ghost calls. But all in all they did let them play, and the physical game helped our girls. And Taylor Frederick had one heckuva game!

With their court being a hockey rink, do they have condensation problems? I ask, because when the Lynx were playing at the X this past year, that was one of the things that the they had a problem with. The court was slippery in the corners.

I stand corrected - I was unaware of Nia’s offers, However, from spending 4 years with the other North Tartan parents, I can say there was quite a bit of talk about MN, and not much of it was good.

No, but having recently gone through the recruiting process with my daughter here in Minnesota, I can tell you that out of her very talented class two years ago, the U of M did not try to recruit any of the girls. Those very talented players are now playing for other Big Ten schools and elsewhere in the nation, and for rhe most part are making a difference on their teams. Stollings prefers to let MN girls sign elsewhere, and then bring them back home as transfers later on.

The Gophers are currently 17-5 and on the verge of their third 20-win season in the last four years. I really don't think that's a coach on the hot seat. If you follow the gophers fan boards, at Gopherhole.com, you will see that the fans are suggesting people chip in money to buy out her contract. I know it is tongue-in-cheek, but Gophers fans really do not like Stollings. The list of suggested replacement coaches is pretty funny.

You could say the same thing about the University of Minnesota. There are a lot of local people that are not too happy with her...

I'm not sure Madison should ever be taking 9 shots in a half. [. I have followed Maddie for 6 years, since she and Hannah played their AAU years together. Yes, she may have her “off” days, but she is definitely a strong shooter. She is so fun to watch, both on offense and defense. Her free throws in the MN State tournament set records for most shots taken and most shots made....

What was with the Leathrneck flopping? Several times towards the end of the game, they would run close to the Yote guard dribbling the ball up the court, and just fall down. Thankfully, the refs didn’t buy it either.... 😂😂⛹️♀️

Another difference is the crispness of the Yotes’ passing. They mix it up - some bounce passes, some overhead passes. It is very fun to watch because from one play to the next you don’t know what they’re going to do, Who they are going to pass to. They are all so unselfish with the ball. True teammates.

This was such an entertaining game to watch, start to finish. Every girl played their hearts out, and even the SDSU announcers on the TV feed were impressed. It’s too bad, though, that the Refs decided to try to keep the score even in the 4th quarter, which was even noted by these same announcers. Ticky-Tac one way calls... Coach P was laughing on the bench because it was so bad. Great job Yoyes!

I have to say, their TV coverage crew needs to re-evaluate showing a replay on EVERY SINGLE ORU BASKET. They missed so many plays, including baskets, on the other end of the floor.

That was an awesome comeback by the Yotes! They had to deal with the referees with uneven foul calls, and they still prevailed. Great job ladies!
