Thanks for the post, and you're a favorite follow on twitter for FCS football. Don't mean to drift the thread, but we do have a stable of QBs. Simmons, Tsagalis, Parks. I like Simmons a lot, and if someone beats him out, it's going to be crazy fun.
Again, we appreciate your post, like our chances of a long run in the PLAYOFFS.

If you haven’t already, check out the game highlights on the gojacks site at about the 2:50 mark of the video. Decent camera angle of the 3rd and 4th down attempts from the 1 inch line mid 3rd quarter. No question that Streveler scored on 4th down, possibly on 3rd down also. Can’t wait to hear the bunnies rationalize how it was the correct call. You are right, there is no question, thanks for the time marker. Hey, to get to where we're going you have to beat all comers, officiating is a part of the game! Next up Nicholls State!

You might be right, Yote 53, I was going by overall yardage and viewing the game live. If I watched it again (not going to, PLAYOFFS!!) I might see it differently as to direct impact.

Here is my 2 cents and I'm moving on from the state game. Coyotes could have easily won this game. Too many missed opportunities. Lost the turnover battle with 2 turnovers compared to their 1. The pic inside our own 20 was really bad. Can't get stopped at the 1 inch line. That was a huge play. In my biased opinion he scored, but terrible TV angles gave us no chance to have that play overturned. The holding penalty on Streveler's long run in the 4th was so undisciplined. If Jennings pulls under control and is able to just get in the way its a no call, but he flies past the LB and reaches out and grabs him. Easy call for the official to make and nullifies a huge play. Missed FG to tie the game....the list goes on and on Defensively we were OK. Poor tackling in the secondary strikes again on the long TD to Weineke, other than that they really didn't have too many explosive plays. Goederts's 1 hander was insane, can't really defend that. The cramping is what is it is. There is no way to get around it. Can;t prove it one way or the other. I personally didn't feel like it had that much significance in the outcome of the game. The targeting call was terrible. Unbelievable really. That type pf play happens on 95% of running plays and because the OL goes down they feel like they need to step in and prove something. Pretty ticky tack for the booth to buzz about that and now that player misses the 1st round of the playoffs. Another game that we made too many little mistakes to win in the end. Thankfully we get the chance to revive our season in the SE and make some noise in the playoffs. Can't wait. Go Yotes! Very nicely written. I agree with all of the above. Agree with most of this, especially that the cramping didn't help the Bunnies, we were racking up yards irregardless. But it does show the true character of the team, coach and fans, LAME, in every sense!

Yea! Bunnies fans on our fanboard! Everyone's favorite! Yeah, they're back, I was beginning to wonder if SDSU had raised their testing standards, but no, different day, same BS. I guess it's time consuming organizing the "Fire Stig" campaign during your National Championship season.

That UNI misstep is big, in that it likely assures UNI of 6-2 record. The Yotes still have a lot of control over their season, however, and I for one think they will take control from here on out. The biggest game is the next one, always true, but especially now.

Tough loss. The Coyotes controlled their own destiny for Valley champs, and just gave it away. Disappointing.
This loss will be painful, when the tiebreakers come at year end. But, just like they have all year, this Yotes team will keep moving forward.
I have come to appreciate Coyote Fan's posts, and he has a passion for the Yotes that is undeniable. He also asks some great questions about instilling a killer instinct, or strategy when we have a lead. But please back off on the self-acclaimed title of "Truth teller", an overbearing pessimist is just as bad, in fact, worse than an overbearing optimist. If you think the Yotes chances in Fargo are in the 5-10% range, or that USD is the 3rd best Dakota team, you need to watch the re-run of NDSU's game today. I haven't seen a team yet, that can slow down the Yotes offense, and I won't see one in the next 2 weeks either. This is not 2014, wake up!

Thanks obc, love your game reviews.
The things said negatively about Simmons are 2 things he can't control: 1) He's not Streveler and 2) He's not experienced, he'll get better with time, just like Streveler and every other great QB! IMHO

The reality is that they measure readership. One team draws more clicks and has more addresses than the other. It is analytics based more than anything. The people running the Argus are not SDSU grads. They are playing to the numbers and the readers. Completely agree. USD doesn't get a lot of click-bait type of articles (or the sheer volume), which creates a chicken-and-egg discussion (exhibit A would be the weekly-ish chats). But it doesn't makes the guy's photo/tweet less funny. The photo/tweet was great. From a marketing point of view, I get the analytics, but also from a marketing point of view you have got to have some analytics on the potential of increased readership from a rising athletic program in your footprint. Argus should be 1)keeping the State fans happy and 2) finding ways to capture the USD fan. Both, not an either/or. Money talks. That being said, I read, click Mick's articles because I enjoy his work. Hopefully, enough others will do the same, so we can put the Jacks FB coverage in with the hog futures, or something.

Spent the weekend in New England, fall colours, awesome. Still would have exchanged it in a heart beat to be in Vermillion for the beauty of it all, DDays and Yotes kickin' A !!!
Got my tickets for 11/18. Lot of tough work for the Yotes to do before then, but I'm looking forward to it!

This poll should surprise no one. However, this is the year we take down the dauminator in SF before he heads off to Wisconsin. This is coming from an SDSU fan but SDSU and USD are about a coin flip. USD won 10 of their last 13 conference games last year with a split with SDSU(in those 13 games). SDSU won 10 of their last 13 games with a 2 point loss @ USD in there. SDSU did beat USD by 3 in SF. I know this doesn't include the whole conference season but it took a while for T.J. to figure things out. SDSU loses only Orris that played much. USD only loses Flack and Dickerson so they don't lose much either. I expect 3 really tough competitive games between these two teams this season. Not going to argue with this post, and I am in the belief that SDSU will finish well above .500 in the Summit League this year with TJ in his 2nd year at the helm. It will provide for a lot of excitement in South Dakota. I'm also expecting, like last year, that the Coyotes will be an improved team, year over year, it's going to be fun!

I will post the full results later but Zimmer is picking the Jacks men to win the conference this year. Hopefully that will bring about some discussion. Discussion?:
