I am sure the new guy won't require a multiyear contract… Are you trying to be funny?

Sky is falling in Brookings.....and to think of how many bunny fans were tooting there horns not too long ago about how they don't need multi-year contracts because they haven't had a coaching change in 21 years, karma my friends, should have knocked on wood. Losing entire staff to Wright St. and Wisconsin too. Welcome to the hiring game state fans....

It would be a smart move for Wright State to spring for a plane ticket for Nagy so he can fly to campus. We've seen the effects of long car rides and how having that ride time can cause Bunny coaches to have a change of heart.

FWIW, there have been comments on my Nebraksa boards for a week about how Nebraska should be reaching out to Daum to address their lack of a big man. This was before the Nagy news. Nothing substantive at all, but people are clearly aware of him.

Even if he is mad, he should be thanking USD for paving the way on getting multi-year contracts for coaches. Also, the realization that coaching at State College isn't quite the honor and privilege all the bunny fans think it is, might be a bit of stinger... Welcome to the REAL world of college athletics!

Let us not forget: "If the Regents had any spine (they don't) they would ask for Herbster's immediate resignation. HE BROKE A REGENTS POLICY, and is going to be rewarded for it. Are you OK with that? ? If Nielson is the one driving this, the contract on the table should be pulled."

Couldn't help myself, I went over to the Bunny Board to get some info on Nagy leaving. That place is nauseating to read. There cannot be a fan base in existence that is any higher on themselves or more delusional about the status of their school in the NCAA hierarchy. The holier than thou attitude is sickening and there are some real gems about the "State Way", you know, about how ethical they are and how they do things the right way. For a second there I thought I had accidentally clicked onto the board of a Catholic school. It's just so hypocritical when you compare it to their reality.

A check presentation by the Rabbit Club at mid-field of the next USD/SDSU football game would be a nice gesture.

I'm sure we all have bellyaches from laughing about this already, but can you post some of the comments from the bunny boards you are referring to? I, for one, want to keep the good times rolling...! Those poor wabbits...

I am sure the new guy won't require a multiyear contract… My thought exactly. If the wabbits offer a multi year deal I want the AD, president, and all opposed state fans to stop at every USD house in the state to apologize and thank us for making it possible.
I have little hope their heads will shrink thinking Brookings is a mecca for coaches where even Calipari would stay forever because there is no better place to live and coach than Brookings.

I for one would like to thank USD,who in typical sleazy fashion, tried to slink in the back door and force a policy change at the BOR. Fortunately SDSU people forced the BOR to go through proper channels. With that said, i don't think a highly successful program like ours would have a problem hiring a top notch coach without mult-year contracts. The yotes hired the men's bb coach you wanted and your program sucked/sucks.
