RPI and Standings update after loss to State:
RPI----------Standings
38 SDSU--SDSU-(9-2)(18-5) 60 USD---USD---(8-3)(19-5) 76 IUPUI---WIU---(8-3)(17-6) 90 WIU-----IUPUI-(7-4)(18-6) 138 ORU---ORU---(5-6)(13-11) 165 UNO---UNO---(4-7)(11-13) 283 NDSU-Denv--(3-7)(6-17) 303 Denv--NDSU-(3-7)(5-18) 324 IPFW--IPFW--(1-9)(4-19)
It's funny that our RPI improved after losing to State. Also, I'm not sure why the Leathernecks are 3rd in standings? Wouldn't they have the tie-breaker on us? Maybe they first look at overall record, but I'm not sure I agree with that.

Sorry I haven't kept up with stats and standings this week. I'm on vacation in Florida, and not good at cutting and pasting from my phone.
I'm excited to see the women bounce back from the loss, and are right back in the race! Go Yotes!

38 SDSU--SDSU-(9-2)(18-5) 60 USD---USD---(8-3)(19-5)76 IUPUI---WIU---(8-3)(17-6) 90 WIU-----IUPUI-(7-4)(18-6) 138 ORU---ORU---(5-6)(13-11) 165 UNO---UNO---(4-7)(11-13) 283 NDSU-Denv--(3-7)(6-17) 303 Denv--NDSU-(3-7)(5-18) 324 IPFW--IPFW--(1-9)(4-19) update: RPI----------Standings 37 SDSU--USD--(11-3)(22-5) 62 USD----WIU---(11-3)(21-6) 66 IUPUI--SDSU--(11-4)(20-7) 80 WIU----IUPUI-(10-4)(20-7)148 ORU----UNO---(6-8)(13-14) 150 UNO----ORU---(6-9)(14-14) 289 NDSU--NDSU--(4-10)(6-17) 310 Denv---Denv--(3-11)(6-21) 321 IPFW---IPFW--(2-12)(5-22) It's been a while since I have updated this, but not much has changed for RPI, other than WIU and IUPUI have improved by about 10 spots each. That will help our RPI when if we beat those two teams this week! Projecting how the RPI might play a role in at-large bids, It's looking like SDSU might be the only team with a chance at an at-large to the big dance. I would guess that all of the top four teams are now in position for WNIT at-large spots, though.

update:
RPI
37 SDSU--(22-8) 59 WIU---(26-6) 62 IUPUI-(24-8) 78 USD---(22-8) 149 UNO--(16-15) 161 ORU--(15-15) 304 NDSU-(6-24) 311 Denv-(6-24) 316 IPFW-(5-24)
Basically, WIU and USD have traded RPIs and ORU and UNO have done the same. With a winning record (barely) UNO would qualify for the post-season. Honestly, their RPI is pretty damn good for that record, though. Maybe a WBI bid. USD is well-within range for WNIT, but the losing streak isn't great.

Mick Gary said yesterday there is no doubt that Yote women are in the WNIT and will likely host 1st round.

Just look at last year and how only Minnesota ever outbid us. Should be interesting where they put the three (or two) Summit teams in the bracket. Usually they try to separate conference-mates, but they also try to have geography make sense for early rounds. Hmmm...

Just look at last year and how only Minnesota ever outbid us. I just checked out their (WNIT) website, and there is a little more to it than just the bidding: I think this bodes well for both us and the Jacks, given the fan support of WNIT games in the recent past. Plus the two schools have ponied up for bids.

So jacks don't fall after losing in the SLT? They get a little too much love IMO and WIU and IUPUI don't get enough.

So jacks don't fall after losing in the SLT? They get a little too much love IMO and WIU and IUPUI don't get enough. It's not really about "falling". The RPI is an impartial formula. No human element. If there is a human element, It would be in the selection process, and I think the consensus is that they probably won't get an at-large to the NCAA. On the other hand, scheduling is something in your control, and the Jacks' non-con has been pretty tough. That's why their RPI has been consistently high all season, even when we had a slightly better record.
