Instead of game information or analysis, I thought I would just show a couple clips of what these outstanding teams are doing well. For the Bunnies, they have been scoring in bunches: But the Coyotes have been playing some tenacious defense: So it should be a good game.

Massey predicts a 71-68 Jacks win, 56% probability of them winning. Should be a close, contested game either way.

nice work with the videos kiyoat. I don't quite under stand Massey picking the jacks but Massey doesn't understand that if the coyotes can win in frost with the disadvantage they had there you would think by flipping the home court that the coyotes would win at home as well.
The Jacks could win but the Coyotes are better at scoring tough baskets than western Illinois. I give the Coyotes a 65 percent chance to win and I am going 68-53 Yotes. The crowd will make a big difference.

The Jacks are going to be more than ready to go and they'll have the frosh back this time around. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Miller and Guebert managed to hit 53 alone.

With a win the Yotes will:
Win Summit League outright for third time in four years. Take the #1 seed in the SL tournament. Become 2nd team to ever sweep the conference schedule (first since Northern Illinois in 93-94). Match the longest winning streak any Summit League team has ever had. Have wins in 3 of last 4, and 5 of last 7 games against bunnies.

In the first match up I believe the Coyotes were more than 5 or 6 points better (or whatever the margin was) than the Jacks up in Brookings. The officials starting blowing their whistles mainly on the Coyotes at the end which led to SDSU's come back as much as SDSU themselves. On the Jacks board most of them are already pretty confident that SDSU wins this one which is just perfect, because the more the Coyotes are over looked the better they play. I have a hard time believing that the Jacks will have more energy than the Coyotes but maybe I will be wrong. The Coyotes have the best D in the Summit League so I don't think picking the Jacks to get 53 is crazy but if it makes everyone else happy I could always go 78-63 instead. Nah I will stick to the original pick.

History seems to make no difference because the hype meter doesn't figure in actual recent results. It basically does a very good job at analyzing all the cheer leading and the pre season polls are very prevalent with that meter as well. How is it possible that the Jacks with the better coach and with their 10 best players (insert sarcasm) being better than any of the Coyotes somehow keep falling short in the fairest way to measure teams, by actual conference play. If the Coyotes win the media darlings will go 4 straight years with no conference title and it is already guaranteed that they can only get half at most. If Macy Miller is everyone's MVP how come she has never lead the Jacks to a conference title. Hmmm so many interesting things to consider. In the last 4 years the basketball programs out right Summit titles. USD 3 and could be 4 on Wednesday SDSU 0 and could be 1 on Thursday

Selland will be the X-factor in the game. Need to have a balanced defensive effort and hope they don't hit a lot of threes

Selland will be the X-factor in the game. Need to have a balanced defensive effort and hope they don't hit a lot of threes With all due respect the Jacks have to hope the Coyotes don't hit a bunch of threes just as much as visa-versa. The Coyotes are the favorites in my mind having home court advantage and everything. Home court advantage is worth about 10 points considering the big home court advantage that both teams have. A 5 point Coyote win in Brookings should turn into a 15 point win if everything is fair and the calls are even both ways which they were not in the first contest until the Jacks had to start fouling in the end. I look at it as if the Jacks have to play a heck of a game to win. I am tired of hearing about what the Coyotes have to do to win. The Coyotes just beat their butts in Frost and as far as I am concerned the Yotes are the better team until further notice. No matter how many times the Coyotes beat the Jacks head to head and no matter how many times they finish ahead of the Jacks in the standings everyone always seems to think the Jacks are the favorites. I will take the Coyotes accomplishments in the last 5 years over what the Jacks have done.

Except that she was an experienced senior. Sucks that we lost that recruiting battle when Amy left. Pretty amazing what an impact she has made as a freshman. Hopefully our seniors can be our late-season impact players. It sure looked that way on Saturday.

Come to think of it, the officiating and the crowd might be a big x-factor in this game as well. A tightly called game favors the Jacks, looser favors us. Still blows my mind how the game in Brookings suddenly changed officiating style in the 4rth Q. Pressure from the crowd and coaches can have an effect on those things, even if they shouldn't.
I don't know how this game will go, but I bet the losing team's coach gets a technical foul. Both of them are pretty animated with the refs, and toe the line of how far they can go with that. It's all part of the strategy. This game will be a chess match between two great coaches, IMO.

I see there is a lot of optimism on this board for this game, and I can see why after we beat them up there. I was surprised when we won up there and I still don't expect us to win in Vermillion. I know we have been winning pretty comfortably but State has just been destroying teams. I'm giving our men a better chance to win at Frost than I do our women winning at home. Hopefully after the women's game a bunch of you can come on here and make fun of me for doubting our women.

I'm not sure if I am just pessimistic or everyone on here is delusional. I really hope it's the former. But they didn't have Selland last game and we barely got a win. Also, our offense has not been that great lately. I really hope I'm wrong, but my personal view is that a 15 point loss is much much more likely than a 15 point win. I just hope it's a close game that we can learn from for the SL tournament, win or lose.
