Selland will help the Jacks offensively this time around but that also might be a double-edged sword. She's going to have to guard Duffy on the other end and she's not the defender Larson is.

I see there is a lot of optimism on this board for this game,... I feel the same way as usdcoyote. I'm not sure if I am just pessimistic or everyone on here is delusional. ... I guess I'm not seeing "a lot of" optimism in this thread. Most of the posts have been pretty realistic. I'm usually pretty optimistic when it comes to this WBB team, but put my feet to the fire, and I'd have to predict a close loss here. I think the Massey 3-point line is as good a guess as any. Re-read the thread minus Coyote Fan's long posts and I only see one overly-optimistic post. Here's an example where a couple of diatribes from CF can skew the overall impression of the board's tenor. Not that I think we need to do anything about it. It is what it is... just try to read critically.

It's at the SCSC I feel pretty confident the Yotes will win and finish the regular season undefeated.
Our RPI will drop 3 and State's will rise 4.

I think you are right, though, this team has consistently proved people wrong throughout the SL season, so there are definitely reasons to be optimistic.

I predict the COYOTES will win their 3rd conference title in 4 years.
I also predict there will be no pigs auctioned off at halftime.
I have no prediction on if the wabbits will win their first conference title in 4 years or if the streak continues to a 5th year.

Selland will be the X-factor in the game. Need to have a balanced defensive effort and hope they don't hit a lot of threes This. It's a little like last year with Ober. Except that she was an experienced senior. Sucks that we lost that recruiting battle when Amy left. Pretty amazing what an impact she has made as a freshman. Hopefully our seniors can be our late-season impact players. It sure looked that way on Saturday. Isn't inserting Selland and her 9 points/gm basically a wash with the Yotes inserting a healthy Bradley and her 10.3/gm?

Sure, except no one really knows which Coyotes will be in double figures from game to game. I don't think the Jacks know, either. Hard to isolate and key on any one player with the Yotes IMO. I think that has been the biggest head-scratcher for me this year. It has been a good formula, however they do it.

When youre a mid major, does it really matter if we've won 3 conference titles in 4 years. If we cant win the Summit Tourney, it doesnt matter.

I like history and looking back at stats, records, ect. When you look back in the media guide its nice to see conference champs no matter what level of athletics the team is in. Of course I would rather have it say National Champions instead but that is next to impossible for a mid major although more of a chance than in mens. When looking back conference champs stands out at least to me.

Bradley is a hell of a player and can definitely light it on fire. She had an injury and some time on the bench, but has played quite well lately. Yotes really have 8+ players that can score and play defense, its impressive.

Bradley could score more, Kate probably less. The Yotes are a balanced team and have many gals who can put up 20 any given game.

In fact I would say it matters even more at the mid-major level as its the only championship you are going to be playing for each year.
If the team went 0-27 but won 3 straight games in the conference tourney and then was blown out by 65 in a 16vs1 game would that be a successful season?
