I believe Little Italy's closed a couple weeks back. Unless they re-opened in the last few days, you may not want to plan on it as your only option.

I guess I'm faster than a speeding Twitter... or maybe not. Also, rowdyrabbit : check out the link in the tweet for parking information. There is a downloadable basketball parking map.

officially sold out *the game, not Little Italy's* Glad we are finally able to sell out the arena! This should have happened in at least 3 games already... 1. Grand Opening Game vs Bowling Green 2. SDSU (16-17) 3. SDSU (17-18) I guess it just took a double header with SDSU to get it done! Quick look at the attendance numbers from last year, and I would imagine our athletic department is losing money on the fact that it's a double header. 2017-18 MBB attendance was 5,004 vs SDSU 2017-18 WBB attendance was 4,018 vs SDSU Total: 9,022 This years total is a "so called" 6,000. I say "so called" because I don't think the place actually holds 6,000. Just like the Dome doesn't even come close to 10,000.

Unlike the Dome, they provide seat maps of the SCSC, and... well... I've counted the seats. You have to include the Handicapped areas too. And consider the club area. There is a legitimate 6K capacity in there IMO. The Dome is another story entirely. I think at one time there probably was 10K capacity, but there have been lots of changes to the seating with no changes in capacity. And of course the "sold tickets" vs butts in seats isn't always the same for all games in the SCSC, but it truly is for the rivalry games and the postseason games (no season tickets for the postseason). As far as losing money, figure that the 6,000 are paying $30 per ticket instead of $20 per adult seat for the 9,000 tickets, and it's essentially a wash. I had figured, like you, that they were losing money, but I literally just changed my mind right now after doing the math. Thanks for laying it out in that manner. Makes sense. If we could get sellouts for the individual games they would be making even more money. Something to strive for, I guess.

After our mens loss last night, and your womens loss, this one got that much more interesting, IMO. Both will be looking to come out a prove a point.
After saying I should the last few years, I'm really glad I decided to finally pull the trigger on a couple tickets this year (thanks doubleheader).
On Sunday, if you see us, and you can stomach talking to someone in blue, say hi, don't worry, I'm not, nor will I be, Rowdy at all, that's an internet tough guy name is all!

I thought I paid $25 last year per ticket for the SDSU game, but I may have been wrong. Even though the seat map may say 6,000, I still don't think that is correct. I know for a fact they had to remove the entire first row of seats (court-side) in there because they were too low and you wouldn't be able to see the game without standing almost the entire game. Also, I would imagine the media seating in the corner takes out seats as well.

The Dome does have seat maps, during football season with single tickets on sale. Maybe there was 10k capacity at one time. I doubt it. Most venues have an exaggerated capacity. I doubt the SCSC holds 6k. I also doubt the Big House ever held 115k. That's just how these things are.

Good point on the cost to offset the number of tickets sold. I thought I paid $25 last year per ticket for the SDSU game, but I may have been wrong. Also, I would imagine the media seating in the corner takes out seats as well. Oh yeah. I forgot that the rivalry games are priced a little higher. Good point. Yeah, probably losing money. Herbster has a couple of quotes in the recent Eeyore article about the double-headers. He said that when you have consecutive-day "double-headers" like when we play the Jacks in Brookings, most people can't go to both games, so one game kills the attendance at the other. Interesting hearing straight from the horses mouth on that.
