Question for those that attended: Legitimate sell-out? Any empty seats (at the women's game)? There are some claiming as many as 25% empty seats on the Bunny board, but to me it looked like the place was packed top to bottom. I could possibly see the student section having some bare spots? Obviously we had a problem with people staying through the men's game, but that is a separate question. I'll just chalk it up to sour grapes, I guess. Which side did you have seats? Was it on the team side or the side where the club section is located? The GA and student section looked full except a gap high on the student end.

Here's our post game vids: (sorry about the source, the GoYotes YouTube site doesn't have these vids yet) Doesn't USD usually post this stuff after games?

There were very few empty seats during the women's game. The only significant area of open seats during the women's game, was the student section, which was only about 2/3 full at the start of the game. However as students rolled into town after Christmas break, the student section was pretty much full by the end of the women's game. Of the few empty reserved seats during the women's game, I would attribute a few to season ticket holders that couldn't make it but more of them were likely from fans who only intended to attend the men's matchup.

Doesn't USD usually post this stuff after games? Maybe to the website, but I didn't see it in the GoYotes YouTube offerings yet. A lot easier to embed video from YouTube.

Don't understand that one. Yeah, I looked there first, but at the end of the day, it's still the same footage, right? Also interesting that either the Jacks women didn't do a post-game or nobody posted it. They were probably pretty emotional after the game, so maybe AJ didn't make them do it. I always appreciate when coaches and players come out and answer questions after a loss. That's why I was questioning Coach P not giving an interview after the Denver loss.

We had a group of ~8 seats next to us that was open for most of the WBB game, and then a group of SDSU fans rolled in. They only planned on seeing the mens game, and they made it clear that Careys', OLC, and one or two other places took good care of them. (it was kind of funny - they were middle aged dudes, not kids)

Did the previous staff just push him aside? This is a very odd quote about someone two years into playing here. No idea. Here’s a guess: Stan is obviously athletically gifted. Maybe he was able to succeed in the sport without a lot of good coaching or instruction as a kid. Recruits that are undeveloped are sometimes passed on by Power 5 schools, and are seen as a steal for mid-majors. The problem there is that you still have to put the time into development. I like that Lee is a developmental coach. All speculation on my part, of course. I still am trying to figure how Coach Smith got Stanley to come to Verm?! He is obviously extremely talented. I think he honestly has a chance to be mentioned as one of the best. I remember Coach Smith speaking a lot last year about how talented he was. I don't question the fact that Stanley didn't play much...we had Hags, TBM & Fuller in his spot and I mean we did finish with 26 wins. I thought I heard that they wanted to redshirt Stanley, but he didn't want to and Coach Smith wouldn't force him to redshirt. That's too bad. Would be really nice to say he's a freshman right now.

Both very true. Kiyoat, I don't know if Smith planned to play Stan the same way we are this year due to the lack of size. I thought he was going to be more of a wing (he was in HS anyways), so I'm sure that's part of his learning curve also. I think Lee is definitely a developmentally sound coach and has some different views on defensive mechanics than Smith. Smith gave him the option on the redshirt, and since Smith had one foot out the door the previous two years, he probably didn't care what Stanley decided to do. We were pretty loaded down low last year, and don't forget about Sparky. Raw talent can only get you so far, and those vets last year had a lot of big game experience, and thats hard to overcome if you are still learning how to piece everything together. I don't know how I feel about him not redshirting. If he would have redshirted, it would be easier to go the ever popular grad transfer route and still only get three years out of him.

I remember a very intelligent poster here being hyped over Umude choosing us, but I was left wondering why when he was completely absent last year. Pretty sure we had walk-ons getting more minutes. Seeing him play this year though, I get it. I could easily see Umude going all-conference for us.
