Yote 53 - I assume the Howling Pack can expect an unsolicited check for $120 then?
Looked for you Saturday. Obviously you weren’t there.

Sad that NDSU brought more fans last year to CAS than USD brought today. That attendance record would have fallen if USD alumni had done their part. 15,278 is a rather disappointing turnout but understandable factoring in the lack of success USD has had this year, the $40 ticket price, and the lethargic fan base overall. The team needs to step up and so do the alumni. Hold on here, let's not get confused. The $40 ticket price is the EXACT reason I didn't go to this game. Why should I pay $120 for 3 tickets to the rival school so my family could stand around the field the entire game? I'm not going to get gouged like that and certainly not going to give a single penny to SDSU. Instead I'd rather watch the game from home and take that $120 and give it to the Howling Pack. Lord knows the athletic dept needs the money. Unfortunately there were plenty of pockets in the stands you could have moved to. USD didn't travel well for how close of a road trip it was and it speaks to one of the problems with our fan base. While the $40 per ticket price may have kept you home for this game - my guess is there were several USD fans that would have coughed up the money if USD had come into the game with a few more wins.

Yeah, I stayed home and we had a watch party here in Verm, had a pretty good time too. The Brookings Ag College was ridiculous with what they were charging. I can get a season ticket to USD for what they wanted me to pay for us to go to the game.
I don't see it as a problem with our fan base if I choose not to go to Brookings for a game I can watch at home. Why should I support their athletic dept? Would me being there make any difference in the outcome? I supported the team and watched the game from home. Now, if there was a conference title or playoff berth on the line for the Yotes, yeah, then maybe $120 would have been worth it.
I renew my HP when I renew my season tix, usually after the spring game.

After we got beat one of the kids over at my house was down. I told him that it was okay, we had a down year. Now it's time to hit the Jacks where it really hurts, beating them at hoops. Winning both those games this year, with the team they have, would be a real kick to the groin for their fans.
Seemed to lift his spirits a bit.

I wouldn't bet on the Yotes winning in Frost this year. At home depending on how the season goes to that point I would call it a 60-40 game with the Jacks holding as favorites.
I think the price was an issue for the football game last weekend but that was not everything. I would have paid the $40 to see the game if I truly felt the Yotes had a chance to win. The Coyote fans made their stand and decided that for $40 the Coyotes weren't worth seeing. If the game had been for a conference title I can guarantee that at least twice as many Yote fans would have shown up $40 or not.
