THREE NORWEGIANS VACATION IN MEXICO Ole, Sven, and Lars decide they are going to Mexico for a vacation. They get falling down drunk and wake up in jail and find out they all have been sentenced to die in the electric chair. Sven is the first to be strapped in the electric chair and the guards ask if he has any last words. Sven says, "I yust graduated from St. John's College in Minnesota, with a degree in divinity studies, and I am a good Christian man ... but if it is God's will for me to die, so be it." The guards throw the switch and nothing happens. The guards get on their knees and say, "You are surely a Godly man and we are going to let you go." Lars is next to be strapped into the electric chair and the guards ask if he has any last words. Lars says, "I yust graduated from Concordia college in Moorhead, Minnesota, with a degree in divinity studies, and I am a God fearing man. If it is my time to die, it is God's will." The guards throw the switch and nothing happens. The guards say, "You also are a Godly man and we are going to let you go." Ole is the last to be strapped into the electric chair. The guards ask him if he has any last words. Ole says, "Vel, I gust graduated from South Dakota State in electrical engineering ... and I'll tell ya right now, if you don't plug dat ting in, it ain't gonna work."

Lighten up cf, the only thing that should matter is where you think you fall on the stupid v. genius scale.

Not related to sports but could be a correlation somewhere in this thread....

Great job ladies and Coaches! You have given Yote fans some very up lifting moments and it is clear the program is on the right trajectory.

By all accounts, Josh VM is a good athlete, and a good person. To my knowledge he was not recruited to play FB, let alone be the starting quarterback of a newcomer to the MVC. His coaches thought he was the best QB choice at the beginning of the season. It is not working out and the coaches are at least as culpable as Josh. I have no doubt if he could have willed a better outcome he would have.
As several of you have stated, he can still be a significant contributor to the program - just in another role, or roles. So Josh, keep your head-up, best-of-luck, and GO YOTES!

I appreciate all the posters (including the NDSU and SDSU people) for their analysis of the games, players, coaches, and fans. It's no small part of what keeps me connected and supportive of USD athletics.
Obviously many things need to change with the FB program. Joe Glenn needs to take charge, it is on his shoulders. (giving Beschorner the title 'Assoc. Head Coach' may have been well intended but probably a mistake in hindsight)
Recruiting players will be even harder after this year but the plus side is they can promise the really competitive kids that they will be able to play sooner(!).
FWIW, regarding fan attendance, NAU, Flagstaff, had their homecoming on Saturday (beat UC Davis 21-7) and drew 7,990 fans. Their dome seats 15,000 and was recently remodeled at a cost of $26 million. NAU, is a good team, 4-0 Big Sky (wins include beating UNLV, Montana and UND on the road), they have an on-campus student population of 17,700, and the population of the city is 65,000.

According to a tweet from Jeremy Hoeck (the P&D), the Board of Regents approved the facility plan today. Next step is the legislature in January. With an 'okey dokey' from the legislators, and just $12 million more in cash or pledges, we will soon be seeing spades in the ground.

A big let down from what could/should have been another step up the ladder. I expected we would be out-manned in the trenches this season but was hoping the team would be "coached up" (with better execution) to offset some of that deficiency. Not so.
