Really nice Home tournament opponents! Iowa State will be a huge game, attendance-wise. And a great opportunity! Mt State (Former Yote Coach Houk) and UTEP are some great mid-major teams, too.
I think we are playing every Division-I team in the state of Iowa this year! Great for recruiting.

Guessing by Gabby Johnson's most recent re-tweet that she might be heading to NKU to coach under their new HC Jeff Hans? Both She and Jeff coached at Thomas More College in Kentucky (NAIA - was D-III). He was a very successful HC there for 13 years, and she was a player and assistant just prior to his tenure. She also was an Assistant coach at NKU 2010-2012, so she has ties to both programs.

In this climate of instability and realignment, I feel like there are opportunities in something like 4 directions at once for the Summit. Hopefully our leaders have a good plan.

Wow. Goodbye WAC, we hardly knew ya.
Side note: not only do Southern UT and Utah Tech sponsor football, but Utah tech also has the men’s team sports we are always looking for: baseball, soccer, golf. Just saying
Another side note: Denver fans have to be pissed The WCC is adding Seattle and GCU.

The MVC should wake up to reality and pursue a merger with the Summit League. Makes sense to me, but reality is not a thing when you have always thought of your conference as "better than". It's just a different mentality. To be fair, the average MVC school has a bigger budget and pays coaches more than the Summit. So they ARE structurally in a different class (somewhat). But that didn't stop them from considering Omaha and KC for additions the last time around, ignoring their small budgets and lack of competitive BB teams. They were just looking at the metro media markets.

IDK, it seems like CSU recruits a lot of the same girls we recruit, from my experience in looking at offers. I'm not advocating for an Amber hire, just saying she has been recruiting a similar region for a lot of years now. They end up getting some good talent, too. I doubt she comes to USD for anything less than a HC job. All of her family has stayed close to home (Crofton), and her husband is from Australia. Her tight local roots would be a strong draw if there were ever a USD position that she might be interested in. True. I suppose a future shot at HC, should Carrie move up, is a potential draw, too.

She also married now so depends what her husband job is. I like to see someone who knows the coaches and area in Iowa and Minnesota IDK, it seems like CSU recruits a lot of the same girls we recruit, from my experience in looking at offers.
