All in due time, my friend. Seller asking a ridiculous price now. Lol I've been wondering for years how much that guy is holding out for. I think the last time I saw the listing the price was $2 million. He won't get it.

Great point on getting the dome renovations completed before the recent huge price increases. I believe, but am not 100% positive, that they are adding more parking south of the SCSC I've also heard that a parking lot is being installed south of the SCSC. Something I've shouted about since the concept images came out back in like 2014.

Arizona nearly won the national championship this year. Good field.

There is no point in really having this discussion until at least November 2021, so I don't know why this is such a topic right now. I think it's a topic because other teams are playing football right now and everyone here has to be so tired of having seen about the same thing play out every year for close to a decade. The results of the spring season don't bother me so much, given that it doesn't really feel like it ever happened. I was able to watch 2 1/2 games and it was done. I saw a bizarre road game where the opponent (who later cancelled their season) gave up 7 or 8 turnovers, a home opener/finale with a spring game atmosphere, and half of a game at UND because it was on a Thursday for some dumb reason. Missed what would end up being the 4th and final game at Youngstown. I think the only way it could have been weirder is if we got a couple bounces, finished 3-1, and wound in up in the playoffs. Even though the season was a farce, it did happen and will bring out the feelings everyone has been holding on to for years. I have been sour on Bob since Streveler left town and could rehash all my complaints again, but I think we all agree that we don't want Bob to go in the coming months because that is a recipe for disaster. He will have at least one more season and I hope we end up in a situation where we want him to stick around for more than that. Let's wait for the critical season to play out this Fall and then assess the program.

Anyone else remember that one time we did have a winning season? I had absolutely no shortage of people looking to go to games with me that year. The fans are going to be the last piece of the puzzle because who wants to spend their entire Saturday making arrangements to watch a subpar product?
Yes, I'm frustrated these "fans" can't be bothered to just support the team. That's how this all works though. We here are among the upper levels of dedication. Most people don't care this much and just want to have fun. Hard to have fun when you lose more often than not.

All I can think about now is I hope state gets knocked off by somebody in the playoffs. Don't really care who wins as long as it's not them. I saw a tweet that mentioned FCS playoffs today and had a double take. No one is ever going to remember who wins the title. Could be a team that gets more wins in the playoffs than the regular season.

Give FBS a meaningful postseason and you wouldn't see kids opt out. It doesn't happen in basketball or FCS.

I generally am not the type to speak ill of players, but Kai can test the waters. He has talent but watching him play frequently left me angry as poor plays led to confronting the opponent and good plays were his opportunity to make a fool out of himself. He didn't run for many yards though, so the former is what we usually saw.
Composure is important. Both when you fail and when you succeed.

For those of you who remember that a football season is allegedly ongoing, here is the playoff bracket: www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2021-04-18/2020-ncaa-fcs-championship-field-announcedThere are three different 3-win teams competing in the 16 team field. Six different teams went undefeated, so I'm sure the seeding is fantastic. One team played 11 games (about double the amount of games that 11/16 teams played). Missouri State got in at 5-4. Not sure how you get an at-large when you've lost as many, or more, games as some teams even played. Apparently Montana rebooted their spring football and smashed their opponents to finish 2-0. Why aren't they in the field? Nothing to see here people. Business as usual.

Good experience and a great accomplishment to make the tourney. Build on it and come back stronger in the fall. It seems to me that this program could keep rising into something really special the way things have gone in the past several years. It's wild for me to see where the program is now and to think about the games I went to on the Dome floor and up in the Den (disclosure: I went to those games as a gameday employee, shagging balls for $8 an hour. It was easier up top than on the floor).
I know this team will have a great season in the fall and run away with another trophy with the conference tourney in Vermillion.

And it a similar vein, did anyone notice that David Jenkins will now be playing for Craig Smith at Utah? I wish someone had told me this 3 years ago so that I could have them committed to an insane asylum.

General comment: I think USD's basketball facilities are best-in-conference. Pretty good for a below-average budget. I'd say it's between us and NDSU for doing "more with less". Another general comment: eventually Denver and Kansas City (and St. Thomas) will make a good hire, and should be major players in MBB in the future with their investment in the sport. Notably, none of them sponsor D-1 football. edit: St Thomas and Kansas City will need to upgrade facilities first. Might be a little farther out. Denver's next hire could make a big difference, though. KC might play in a city like the other two you named, but they have yet to show me that they actually care enough to attract a coach who would turn them into players. They've been a subpar team as far back as I can remember.

Agreed. The asterisk season. I've felt that way about most sports the past year, but FCS football takes the cake on that sentiment. Didn't see teams dropping out as the season went on for questionable reasons anywhere else. This season will be remembered only when wise guys like myself want to drop trivia in the future regarding the opening of the Dome renovation or Carson Camp's first game. It wasn't good for much else.
I'm all in on next year too. I've got 5 months to trick myself into thinking we can beat a reeling Kansas team, and I know 5 months from now I'll have another great road trip for Coyote football. We could play Kansas/KState/Missouri every year and I'd be satisfied because it's a short trip and I get to enjoy KC. I got some Arthur Bryant's down there in January and would have died a happy man if Covid struck me down in that diner. Just let me finish all the sauce first.

Deaths have dropped dramatically the past two months as the vaccine has become available. I don't see how we aren't playing a full season this Fall unabated. It would take some wild new developments to disrupt another football season.

Then there is this garbage. Their game against NDSU was also cancelled. I presume there was an equally dumb take from that too.
