Glad to see there will be an organized tailgate there. A buddy and I went to the game up there in 2009 and tailgated by ourselves. We couldn't get anyone to even give us the time of day when we'd try and make conversation with them. That is pretty much to be expected from the arrogant inhabitants of The Great Waste! I would give a lot to have the Yotes knock the snot out of them Saturday. UND has lucked out too many times against The Good Guys! Go SD!

I won't make the game. Have other plans to help out with some youth football stuff. I have lived my entire life in SD and have never been to ND, crazy. Lived in SD my whole life too, made it to ND once for work so I suppose this is the first time I am willingly going. Despite living in a state bordering ND my whole life I could never give a stranger any facts on ND or reasons to ever visit. I wouldn't be surprised to hear it's single least visited state in the US.

Had so much fun last week heading to the game this week too. Why not?
Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to get tickets. Can I buy them there day of the game or should I go thru Ticketmaster? And what side of the field we are on. I don't want to be the only USD fan on the UND side.
Thanks for any input.

I'm in section 207, but have no idea where the best place to sit would be if you're looking for red. I suggest buying tickets online because if you wait until you're at the venue you're bound to have worse seat selection.

Hi from the land of Fighting Hawks, I hope many of you travel to the game and enjoy the tailgating and game. Of course except for the score which will be in the Hawks favor. enough of that. Most visitors are in section 216 or 217. I think this will be a very interesting game.

I picked a Coyote win pre season but if the Coyotes play like they did for the majority of the game on Saturday UND will win this game going away. The Coyotes need to take a big progression this week to get the win up in Grand Forks which has been a night mare for past Coyote teams, even the good teams. Wanna be wrong but the evidence points to a 31-21 UND win which will be my predicted score. Weber and UND may be close but this game is on the road which swings the pendulum quite a bit. I think if this game was played at the end of the year I may change my opinion but the Coyotes are still learning under Nielson and are still not very salty on D just yet. I think the team will get better as time goes on but I think it's asking alot to come out of the Alerus Center with a win. Not that it can't happen but a lot needs to go right for a notch in the left hand column. The majority of the game? Take away the first 6:30 and the Yotes outscored Weber State 52-28. Take away a couple of stupid mistakes and totally blown coverages and its like 52-14. There were concerning moments for sure, but those are things you watch on film and learn from. I liked what I saw overall. I'll take the Yotes 41-35. ^^^^This^^^^ I agree with yotebewithyou. Just read on twitter that Nielson hired Bubba back in the old Duluth days. Pretty crazy. I think it will be a nail biter, but Yotes with the win, for sure! We're just getting started. Super excited to see what Nielson does with this team. I think we have a pretty exciting future ahead of us. It may take a little time.

Well, after spending about 10 minutes poking around the UND boards, I'm ready to kick some Sioux ass. It's a shame none of the guys playing now days get to know that rivalry and hatred.
They all seem pretty confident we won't be able to run the ball. I'm not convinced they can stop the read option with Streveler back there but it's just my opinion.
The other generally accepted thought on that board is that the Big Sky is now somehow on the same tier as the MVFC. Laughable. The past few years we have been at or near the very bottom of the MVFC and have competed well with the Big Sky. I think we've about split with Big Sky teams since the end of the Ed era.

This feels like the often-claimed-but-makes-no-sense phrase that I don't think UND can score enough points to win. The Yotes can/will put 45+ on the board, but it doesn't appear the Sioux can score 50. (Not unlike the position the Yotes have been in at the end of the season the past few years)
I'm thinking 47-27 Yotes.

There is a very odd smug sense of superiority from UND fans regarding the Big Sky. I guess when no one else will have your football team you have to double down on that attitude.

Nothing new here...just Sioux being Sioux. I mean Hawks being Hawks. I agree that it is great to see this rivalry renewed. This game often times decided the late era NCC champs. Unfortunately we were on the wrong end of most of them. Time to start a new era in the Coyotes vs. Hawks(sioux) rivalry. Too bad we can't bring back the Sitting Bull trophy. I remember back in '06, after beating the Sioux in '05, seeing that they posed for there team photo that year with Sitting bull Trophy, even though technically it didn't belong to them. It should have been in Vermillion. Yotes win 38-17
