How do you think the Yotes will match up this week against The Fighting Hawks?

My guess is it will be similar to how we matched up with Weber State. Truthfully, I have watched exactly zero snaps of UND football this year and my research has been very limited. But my thoughts are this team will be a middle of the pack Big Sky team as will Weber State.
Fact is, we were all of 21+ points better than the Weber State team that came to town this weekend. It wasn't pretty, but we pulled it out. If we can minimize the mistakes, we will be just fine in Grand Forks.
On another note, will Midco be carrying this game? Seems like this one would be right in their wheel-house.

Need to play much cleaner this week. This game has to be pretty close to a pick em on paper. Take care of the ball of offense and limit the big plays of defense....seems easy enough right??

I think it's going to be a good match. We have to watch our turnovers. Their defense is tough, but I know without a doubt that we can beat them. I may take the trip to watch the match up.

I picked a Coyote win pre season but if the Coyotes play like they did for the majority of the game on Saturday UND will win this game going away. The Coyotes need to take a big progression this week to get the win up in Grand Forks which has been a night mare for past Coyote teams, even the good teams. Wanna be wrong but the evidence points to a 31-21 UND win which will be my predicted score. Weber and UND may be close but this game is on the road which swings the pendulum quite a bit. I think if this game was played at the end of the year I may change my opinion but the Coyotes are still learning under Nielson and are still not very salty on D just yet. I think the team will get better as time goes on but I think it's asking alot to come out of the Alerus Center with a win. Not that it can't happen but a lot needs to go right for a notch in the left hand column.

I always love the Yote games. This one should be a competitive game. Our D vs your O will be strength vs strength with the way you guys have been running the ball. Your qbs running ability makes me nervous. But I think the game deciding match up will be our offense vs your defense. Our only deep threat WR suffered a gruesome broken leg in our first game and all we have left is tall white boy possession WRs. If you guys are able to get away with putting 8 and 9 guys in the box to stuff the run we will be in trouble.

Take away a couple of stupid mistakes and totally blown coverages and its like 52-14. There were concerning moments for sure, but those are things you watch on film and learn from. I liked what I saw overall. I'll take the Yotes 41-35.

UND has a putrid offense, I don't see them putting up 35 points. The Coyote defense played better this past week, remember it was the offense that gave Weber 21 points. The defense got stops when it needed to and caused some timely turnovers to help us crawl back into that game. The defense will be good enough to hold the bad UND offense down. Offensively, the Coyotes have the best weapon on the field at QB. He'll be good for at least a couple of big plays. USD's power running game was punching some great holes and getting some good push last week, Valley ball will continue this week. I think some of you underestimate the gap between these two conferences and the physical style of play that goes on in the MVFC. There were a lot of cross over games last week and the Valley went 3-1 with Montana (of course) being the only BSC winner. Looking closer at the games you see a huge disparity in rushing numbers. Valley teams go to the body and run the ball, that will be the difference again this coming weekend. If this game was in Verm it would be a blowout, as the Weber game should have been. Since it's in Grand Forks it will be closer. USD 31 - UND 17.

I agree that USD should win this game. My only concern with this game, and future ones, is if Streveler can hold up. He took some big shots last week and as our primary weapon will continue to do so. I just hope he can hold up through an entire Valley season. he will no doubt be the focal point for opposing defenses going forward.

I won't make the game. Have other plans to help out with some youth football stuff. I have lived my entire life in SD and have never been to ND, crazy.

Glad to see there will be an organized tailgate there. A buddy and I went to the game up there in 2009 and tailgated by ourselves. We couldn't get anyone to even give us the time of day when we'd try and make conversation with them.

I had the misfortune to live in Fargo for 10 months years ago and it was miserable. Pre Fargo Dome. Bison stuff was sickening back then too. Go Coyotes!
