A win tomorrow virtually guarantees us a playoff spot. I'm calling this one a must win. I do not want us to have to clinch our playoff spot at UNI, at NDSU, or in the circus against SDSU. We could very well lose all three of those games. We could also win them, but business has to be taken care of at home against our weakest remaining opponent. 100% agree with this. There is no way a 7+ win MVFC team doesn't make the playoffs. Hard to imagine a scenario where we don't win at minimum 2 of the last 4 games, despite the difficulty. I can see us winning just 1 of the last 4. Our lack of depth and experience can catch up with us in a hurry down the stretch. I don't think anyone expected us to lose our final 4 games last year but that happened. I also expect a couple more wins before the playoffs but nothing is guaranteed. |

IF SIU's offense gets rolling tomorrow, USD will score as much as they need to beat the Salukis - personally I think the USD defense will do very well tomorrow and create some turnovers. Right now I say USD finishes the regular season with 3 wins and 1 more loss at worst. |

Ask yourself how this team is different from last year and you'll realize who's gonna to win tomorrow and how many games we're going to win of the last 4. That's right. ..a WIN tomorrow and at least 3 of our last 4. YES THAT'S RIGHT! A WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN!!!! What the heck does depth have to do with anything when we're relatively injury free and they're 2 deep. This staff recruited the missing pieces and has coached them up when necessary and this team is a machine! 1 loss and the wheels feel off??? My wife is driving right now and i told her if she sees a crow to head right for it as these naysayers are going be eating it after the game. My guess is the doubters are going to call themselves realists. I'll argue they're anything but. I had a list of reasons to support my statement above but deleted them from this post as its up to each fan to take an honest look and form their own oppinion. . I'm not just hollow enthusiasm. I have many reasons and i may see the team clearer than some that may be judging this year's team from the perspective of past years losses and failed hopes. Some need a different set of glasses they view this team thru. As i posted before; yes, from past dashed hopes its only natural to say show me first. However, that just prolongs the building of the program as the 12th man is soo important. It's the reason we're going to slam SIU tomorrow. JUST SLAM!!! ...AND YOUR GOING TO SEE ME THERE DOING MY PART. I HOPE TO SEE THE SAME FROM ALL! JUMP ON BOARD BUDDY! THIS TEAM IS FOR REAL. This is a big game. The team's response to the disappointment in Illinois will set the tone for the rest of the season.

In the last few weeks while reading TBSD's posts I have to admit, I keep finding myself doing so in the voice of Macho Man Randy Savage. His profile picture should be a still shot of one of those Slim-Jim commercials. Love it. Ran in to a former Yote footballer I hadn't seen in a while today and all we could talk about was tomorrow's game. I have also repeatedly had random Coyote fans in the last couple weeks share they are beginning to take more than a passing interest in this team, saying crazy things like they are interested in buying season tickets next year. Huh. I have a Theta friend who is meeting with 9 of her sorority sisters tomorrow to tail-gate and attend the game tomorrow. Double huh. We have said around here for years, and I mean years, that kinda thing would happen when we start winning. Well, it's happening and the Coyote contagion is spreading. I think we roll tomorrow and this team starts asserting itself like we never expected based not on Strev, but instead based on the culture and the work put in by the coaches and this TEAM all off season and in the first 7 games. Yes, all 7 games. Losses make good teams hungrier. Looking forward to seeing what kind of appetite this team has tomorrow.
