kats89 - what is the deal with the turf that goes onto the track? Do they do something in that endzone or the area behind it? I really like the layout of the stadium/bowl. Looks sharp. That pic was taken when they were installing the turf, I believe. The overlap was temporary unless I am mistaken. I also came across that picture when searching for images.

Where do they put the tent for the visitors to dress in? All joking aside, I'd like to know how many Southland Conference stadiums have 3rd world visiting team facilities. I mean, are circus tents the norm down there, or is Nicholls State the only ghetto facility?

Howdy from Texas. I am looking forward to see the coyotes come to Texas and have a great game with no injuries. I just hope our Bearkats come out on top. Been reading yโallโs board for a few days now and can see we are pretty even. If yโall want to come join us on our board you are more than welcome. katfans.com Thanks for the invite! I haven't posted there (katfans.com), but I always enjoy reading other boards to get a different perspective. Generally speaking I think the fan participation on FCS message boards is a good gauge on fan interest. Your board is pretty active, so you must have an active fan base. The general vibe I got from what I read is that you guys have a pretty big chip on your shoulders regarding the perceived strength of the MVFC, and the fact that we have gotten so many at-large bids the last few years. I'd probably feel the same way if I was a Southland team fan. At the end of the day, the playoff is where these things get settled, so we've got to prove that we belong. Past Valley teams have proved their worth in the playoffs year after year, but now it's our turn. I hope the Yotes win today, but I also hope to continue appearing in the playoffs, matching up with other perennial contenders like SHSU. Here's to the beginning of a rivalry! Go Yotes!

To answer your question about the locker rooms, I haven't been to Nicholls St Stadium so I cant answer regarding locker rooms. I do know that many of the universities in La have had major budget cuts over the years. I think Nicholls St almost shut down their football program a few years ago just because of the budget crisis in the state. Bowers Stadium needs major renovations and its been a sore topic with the Kat faithful. Both visitor and Bearkats locker rooms are cramped, but there is a place to get prepared. Hopefully the stadium will get a major upgrade within the next year or so.As far as this game, I would hope that the team has a chip on their shoulder, but I am glad this glad this game is at home for the playoffs. Kats are 45-2 in their last 47 games at Bowers so home field is huge this time of year. Sam Houston has had success versus the MVFC, just not N. Dakota St in the playoffs, but yes Kat faithful and this team are tired of hearing about the MVFC.

A boatload of money must've come in on the Yotes overnight. We were +2.5 yesterday. This morning we are -4.5. A 7 point swing in 12 hours is crazy.

Despite the age of your stadium, I really like the unique location with the natural Bowl. Should be a cool experience for our traveling fans! Good luck. Break a leg. No, really. /s

With that said, there is definetly a huge gap between Louisiana and Texas...

Wowzers Its telling us there is an upset brewing and some people are starting to get wind of it. Looking at the points they score and a 39% third down conversion rate coupled with a low TOP tells me they are a big play team picking up first downs on first and second downs and hitting the big score. Stop that and giving six might be worth it, but Im not going to give six.

Will Streveler be wearing gloves again? I hate to see him like that, even though he is still somehow completing 2/3 of his passes in the two glove games. I blame his two picks on the gloves.
