If USD has a top 3 D in the conference then you can pencil the Coyotes in for battling it out for NDSU at #1. The O is not going to drop off that much. You combine a top 3 D with an O that is going to put up over 28 points a game, look out.

But one of the guys also said we have brand new coaches at co-dc so I’m not sure how much detail they know about each team. Same guy also said Indy St would win 5 games...which seems high.

Or buy on the second hand market for $5 once the game is closer.

Stupid question, but in a FCS vs FBS matchup, does the travel roster limit still apply? Or can USD travel more than 64 for the opener?

I highly recommend the trip to Manhattan. I went to the game in 2015 and met some very kind and respectful KState fans. We joined their pregame and half time tailgates and had a nice time.

Beat them and some will change but it won’t matter at that point. It is a good place to go to a game. We had a decent hotel, super 8, and had a great time exploring the town. It was 100+ F at the kickoff for evening game. I looked a little bit on the travel roster thing and found no answer. I’m guessing it’s played by FBS rules because it’s an FBS stadium.

I saw one preseason poll that had them at 7th in the Big XII (not that that means much).

My gut feeling is that Kansas State is going to be duking it out with Iowa State for 3rd in the big 12. A top 25 ranking would validate that.
That being said, I don’t think their defense has seen an offense that sets up and puts the ball in play as quick as the Coyotes do. In order for us to be in this game in the 4th quarter, two things have to happen. First, we need our D to keep their offense in check. Holding them to 31 points would be my goal. Secondly, we need to move the ball early and prove to ourselves we can move the ball on a somewhat consistent basis.
Somehow I get the feeling we can play with these guys.

This supports what I’ve read too. KSU strength is their offense line and RB. They will test our front 7 early and often. Our defensive ends will have their work cut out for them, their left tackle is projected Togo top 4 rounds in NFL draft next year. The opportunity, their defense is a big question mark. If we can get after them on offense line we did last year against Bowling Green, force them to throw the ball, we have a chance. Regardless, looking forward to a great environment for college football. Go yotes!!

On a somewhat related subject, im calling it right now. Our game vs. KSU will be closer than the bunnies vs Iowa State. I’m a big fan on what the new coaching staff has done with this program. This team will push for the top tier of the B12 this year and going forward.
