Already knew we were in, but when do they come out with the matchups? Can't find that anywhere.

They are working on pairings now OK, thanks. Too impatient. I guess.

It would be nice if we could do a doubleheader on Wednesday, but I'm sure that would be asking too much.

Here are the 8 teams in USD's portion of the bracket
USD (Thursday in Vermillion) Western Illinois
Colorado State Houston
Michigan State Cincinnati
Toledo Wright State
Anyone but Western Illinois please. Don't like conference rematches.

You have got to be kidding me, we are playing Western Illinois? WTF? That sucks. Why play a conference opponent?

Good news, we have switched to playing Houston in the first round. Now Colorado St will play Western and we play the winner, if we win.

Just checked the WNIT website. We play Houston at home on Thursday. If we win it's a matchup against either Western Illinois or Colorado State.
You win usdcoyote...beat me to it.

I'm happy for the Jacks getting that seed, but there are three reasons they drew that 8-seed: 1. RPI 2. RPI 3. RPI The committee doesn't even look at any other metrics. It is 12 different ways to dissect the RPI. The sooner we recognize that the better. Strength of Schedule is 75% of the RPI, and the RPI is 100% of selection criteria. Bingo. Verm isn't equipped well enough for most P5 teams who are willing to go on the road. No major airport and correct me if I'm wrong but no full-service hotel. Verm needs some better hotels in a desperate way. USD needs to schedule tougher opponents even if that means going on the road or doing a 2 away 1 home type of deal. If the Jacks go far in the tourney that can only help the Summit's chance of an at-large in the future which will benefit both SD teams. RPI means everything so start scheduling teams even if it is a loss it will help with RPI and at-large consideration. USD should have gotten in in my opinion but I agree that the committee will always select a P5 team if it is close. Like goyotes24 said we need to just make the best of it and show the committee the Yotes should have been in again.

Hard to believe that UNI wouldn’t be in your portion of the bracket. They try and keep this thing as regional as they can, so that’s a surprise to me. Seems like you guys hosting UNI makes the most sense as a first round matchup based off the teams in the tourney. Would also personally like to see you guys play/whoop IUPUI so Parkenson can complain about the lack of an “equitable” tournament some more.
Edit: Whoops, must have just missed the updates....

It certainly seems like the USD women's team has just about everything against them as possibly can be. I wonder how many mid major programs have been a 1 seed in their conference in 3 of the last 4 years and not once won their conference tourney. Mid major women's programs that are conference champs are not supposed to face teams that bring 5K plus fans to cheer against them. Than when they lose in that environment which is an extremely difficult one they get no benefit of the doubt when it comes to trying to get a break from the selection committee. The Summit League is really good for the Coyote programs getting to the NCAA tourney, NOT. I wish the committee would consider that fact and also consider that RPI is not the end of the world. The Jacks playing a tougher schedule does not help them win their conference, having a decided home court advantage is what they benefit from much more when it comes to the one and done conference tourney. Maybe next year we can just skip the conference schedule and just wait for the tourney in March.

Plenty of opportunity for coyote fans to buy tickets and even things out.

Looks like neither Denver or ORU made the cut for the WBI (or they didn't accept?). It's a pretty small field. Only 16 teams.
