At Kansas State the Coyote tailgate was like a mile away. They had transit (a tractor drawn cart) that would take you closer to the stadium. I wouldn't be opposed to using those Charlie carts for visiting fans if we've put them a good distance from the Dome. Do unto others...

man you have NDSU tailgating in IOWA it looks like. Geesh way down south by the library? what happened to the grass lots way north east ?? Come on Lakes, I haven't seen many NDSU fans who couldn't use walking a few more blocks.

This is a serious trap game for NDSU...hard to get up for an a seemingly easy road game when you're favored by 22. Although NDSU made the D-1 leap before USD the 2 programs have a long standing rivalry. It's hard to beat any rival by 22 on their home turf. I expect to see improvements in our o-line. I expect USD to use use passing routes that will create some mis-matches down the field. Striking quickly will be key if the Yotes are going to come out on top. USDs' kicking game has improved and the defense has played well enough to win in any of our losses. NDSU is the cream of the crop in not only the Valley but also in the FCS. I have a ton of respect for their sustained success but, USD is going to come out ready to play and this will be anyone's game in the 4th quarter. Go Yote!

This game seems like such a foregone conclusion to, well, the entire FCS (Hero had a story today about NDSU being so dominant is good for FCS). So, the homer in me really wants to say that we catch the buffalo looking past us and hit on some quick early scores to win 34 - 17. HOWEVER, I fully realize that the Yotes weaknesses play directly into NDSU's strengths, so I can't really go with that (I'm not an idiot). So, upon further (reluctant) thought, I think it will be a bit of a blowout, and due to a late, meaningless score to make it look closer, its Yotes 34 NDSU 20.

You really think the Bison will give up 34 points to a team that is 1-dimensional? NDSU has given up 30 points or more only 5 times in the last 111 games but somehow a mediocre USD team will? USD has trouble running the ball and NDSU can stop the run. The only chance USD has is to make this a track meet. Even then, can the USD defense come up with enough stops?

Here is what I know. Spirits seem to be running a little high for NDSU this morning to NDSU -23.5 @ 5Dimes. Fans have every reason to expect about 22 points from the Coyotes. Can NDSU score 46? UNI scored 42, KSU scored 27. If the KSU Yotes show up with 23.5 this thing is a lock and will play out a great game on the field. If it's like the UNI game time to head for the hills and leave the 23.5 behind. NDSU could put up 60. The spread seems optomistic. The GAM has NDSU -11. That's a 12.5 pt difference between what the bettors think and the story of the stats. The GAM MVFC power rankings this morning are showing, at this point, how well a team compares to its opponents. 1 = parity: - NDSU .5365 @ USD -23.5 5Dimes, GAM -11
- ISU .7318 @ SDSU -5 GAM
- UNI .7484 @ UNI -7 GAM
- SDSU .8650
- MSU .9504
- USD .9711
- IND 1.2676
- WIU 1.4891
- YSU 1.4246
- SIU 1.73
If NDSU hadn't covered 23.5 points earlier in the season it would look good. Ps. The GAM has NDSU +1 to the Ducks this morning and tied with JMU 28-28.

The tailgating spot is just fine for NDSU. That few blocks is nothing compared to Iowa and KSU. We walked in from the Hy Vee at Ames too. Another nice walk. There is nothing as beautiful as a walk through campus on a fall football afternoon.

Ok, here’s my take before today’s game. We have a number of issues our team has to overcome to be formidable and NDSU comes to Vermillion as the number 1 ranked team in the nation. As bisoninnwmn post USD is mediocre, I believe it accurately reflects the attitude all Bison fans and players have. NDSU has zero to little respect for the Coyotes. The fans piss and moan about where they have to tailgate and how our ticket process works. This is the attitude of an entitled group. All they have to do is show up and everyone will fall at their feet.
After leaving the Youngstown game last week I was literally sick to my stomach. We played like $hit. We didn’t want it. We didn’t show up. Period. All I could think about was how bad we were gonna get pi$$ pounded this week and I had that feeling till yesterday. Then something inside of me changed 180 degrees. Not sure why but I smell upset. I’ll call it now
Coyotes 31 Bison 24
