Stew would be a good meal at a cold November game.

One of the teams in this coming Saturday's game has the reputation of being the dirtiest team in the Valley and it isn't the team wearing red and white No kidding. Truly a delusional crew over on the Bunny Board. SDSU is the school with the history of cheap shots, guys cranking on ankles in the pileup, and let's not forget faking cramps and injuries. Interesting part was it was one of their cross-over posters who comes over here sometimes to post who started all that talk, you know him, the poster who got his law degree from USD. Pretty pathetic. Ah yes, the same guy who would - IN A TOTALLY BELIEVABLE FASHION - frequently state here that he roots for USD anytime they aren't playing sdsu. What a guy.

Here's a recap of the cramping for the jackedboyz fans, some pretty obvious flops going on.

Simple solution. If play needs to be stopped due to an injury to a player, in the name of player safety, that player should have to sit out the rest of the series/quarter/half, go ahead and pick a time period. I suspect "injuries" that slow down the pace of the game will cease to exist, and, in the case of legitimate injuries, players who are hurt won't be rushed back on to the field further jeopardizing their health.
If you are that hurt that you can't make it through the game without laying down on the turf 5 times over the course of the game then you shouldn't be on the field to begin with.

I take issue with several things from that article. One is Zimmer comparing faking cramps with intentionally fouling bad foul shooter. These two things are remotely the same. One is a legal strategy, while the other is just plain cheating. I do agree, that they will never get called on it. It would be impossible for the refs to be able to say for absolute certain that an injury is fake, but that doesn't make it right. I also took issue with Zimmer saying the cramps weren't to blame for...then pointed out several plays SDSU made throughout the game. That would be like if I told the 1972 Olympic basketball team "well sure you may have gotten screwed at the end of the game, but that had nothing to do with the baskets the Soviets made up until then or the one's that you missed, so therefore it didn't really cost you the game." In every game ever, where a team got screwed and it cost them a win, you could point out plays the winning team made that had nothing to do with the screw job. That doesn't mean the losing team didn't get screwed though. Like I said before though, you can't really blame the refs for the whole cramping thing. (maybe not giving us a TD when Steveler was 2 yards deep into the endzone on 4th down, or the ridiculous targeting where our linebacker took on a block from their OL, but not the cramping). That is never going to get called. The fake cramping falls on the players/coaches/program. Just because you know you won't get caught doesn't make it legal. It was bush league.

But, can you prove that there were fake injuries. I mean really prove it. If not your post is total hypocrisy. I haven’t said a damned word about this but for any fan to think this wasn’t deliberate and part of the game plan to slow down Streveler because they couldn’t get players on and off the field with the pace of the game is blind or stupid. There was actually twice where the player actually looked like he forgot to fall down in unbelievable pain and when he did fall it was ridiculous. Win the game by beating the opponent, not crap like that. I hate excuses, and I hate being petty, but wrj your post sums up the typical Jacks fans reaction when they’re caught with the hand in the proverbial cookie jar. Can you prove it? I wished like hell refs could go to replay film when they are suspicious and watch the action leading up to the CRAMP and how the player reacts. Watch that film clip and see if you come up with a different thought. SDSU, you have a good team. Why resort to crap like that? All Stig does is reinforce the hypocrisy of his program. Pure and simple that was unethical. And in the matter of his JUICE folly, be a frickin man and say what I did was wrong. There’s punishment for that...take it like a man and move on. But oh no, he hides it because it was right before signing day. That’s hypocritical. When we had trouble with our 3 players last fall, Nielson booted em from the team right away because it was the right thing to do. And 2 of them ended up being innocent. But they didn’t return because it would’ve been wrong to do so. We paid for it then, and still are. But at least Coach Nielson can hold his head high. He took it like a man takes it. Stig is a phony. Pure and simple. In the long haul, gimme a coach with integrity. Anyday

This is my take on the whole "crampgate" situation. Did it impact the game, yes. Was it the cause of losing the game, no. Not even close. It's a funny quip that most USD fans use to get back at their sdsu supporting co-workers, friends, family members when they try to rub the win in our face. Nobody in thier right mind should believe that them having cramps had a direct correlation with the outcome of the game.
However, I do 100% agree with YF in that it shows the true identity of that program to pull that kind of stunt. Then, the lack of institutional integrity is completely confirmed by the conundrum of the sweeping under the rug of Stig's DUI.
But hey, they won the game. If that's all that matters to them, then congrats.
But to continue to whine and complain about "crampgate" makes us look like excuse making losers, and I don't think that's a great look either.
At the end of the day.... I still HATE state!!!
