Finally we are starting to go under center! Not quite what I had in mind, but this will work.

I thought someone might mention this by now, but in my mind the game ball goes to the punting unit. Bunnies put up a lot of yards, but that was mitigated by the fact that they were starting from inside the ten how many times? A few were even inside the five and once from the one, I believe. Tremendous job by Schutt placing the ball when he needed to and crushing when he had to. Also, shout out to the coverage guys for sprinting down, turning and finding the ball especially Dalton Godfrey. Who else, anywhere, can snap and then be down at the goal line downing the ball at the one? I've never seen that before. If he's not special teams player of the week it'll be a miscarriage of justice, unless Schutt gets it. Also hats off to Lorber for nailing his field goal early on. Stayed cool on the second attempt after a procedure penalty negated the first one. He was bombing his kickoffs too. He's really improved this season and should be a weapon next fall. I would argue Godfrey is not only Special Teams player of the week, but also THE Player of the Week. Kid was amazing yesterday!

I’m telling you, USD is going to have some absolutely terrific offensive skill kids next fall. Their WR group with a a healthy Case, Vander Esch, Bell, etc. is going to be so athletic and lights out. Good luck matching up with that group. RB is loaded with talent and the OL will be that much better. Hopefully, we have a QB that can distribute it, will lose the running ability there though.

If you haven't watched the post game press conference on the Coyote web site be sure and check it out! Super emotional for the seniors especially after the way the season has gone and especially for the defensive side of the ball after a disappointing loss to the bizon the week before and the ups and downs they've had for the year. They talk about the game being another building block to get Coyote FB to a higher and especially more consistent level. THANK-YOU SENIORS for your hard work over the years--winning the Yotes first D1 playoff game and being super competitive in the next, helping younger players and capping your career off by defeating the #5 team in the country in a game that really mattered to both teams!! That game will live in Coyote lore for years to come!!
A side note--great to see the catches Cody made after an injury plagued year---tremendous effort on those 2 grabs!!

I'd also like to give a special shout out to Darin Greenfield. Comes here as a walkon and leaves as an All-American, but more than that he personifies leadership, work ethic, sacrifice and everything else you'd want in a player. He is a true coach's dream.

Dalton Godfrey was awarded the Special Team Player of the week--congrats Dalton--very much deserved!! As the Coyote long snapper he forced and recovered a fumble. Also on two other hustle plays he downed the ball at the 1 and 5 pinning state deep. The Special Team Player of the week award was started in 1993 and no long snapper has ever won the award through 2018. I didn't try to recreate each week for 2019 but I assume Dalton has been the only one this year too so that makes his selection even more meaningful!!

Bunny board claiming hundreds of empty seats in top rows of half of dome. I sit in row 10 so didn’t get a look. Anyone confirm or deny?

Here is the visual evidence being claimed. Make your own call. Probably worth noting I still had a beer in my hand at tailgate when this picture was snapped.

The top part of the student section was empty, but everywhere else including the Dome Club and Coyote Landing were packed.

There were empty seats, but the game was without question sold out. I know some season ticket holders in my area were missing. My row was confusingly empty. Wouldn't be surprised if some didn't anticipate a game and didn't show.

That would explain why the picture shows the corner as empty as they would have just cleared the field. Spot on. That area is reserved for the band and their instruments. It's sad how insecure those people are that they have to spend time looking for things that, in their minds, make them look superior. If there were so many available seats why didn't their massive and loyal fan base snap them up? I notice in that pic that my six seats, which are very easy to pick out, weren't occupied yet, but I can assure you they were at kickoff and for the entire game.
