Noticed there isn't a Rankings/NET/Bracketology thread like WBB. So, I'll put this here - Yotes have moved up in ESPN's bracketology! Still a 16 seed, but no longer in the play-in game. Sets up a much easier path to the Sweet 16, IMO. I just don't feel we match up well with either Baylor or Gonzaga... www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology/_/iteration/217

All of these were well deserved. A little surprised it was X instead of Tasos, but Xavier is an incredible defender. It was a season that exceeded my expectations. Now SLT, I'll be happy with just winning first round. Such a sad ending to a fun season. This team reminds me of the women's program. Lots of communication, seem very engaged with each other and truly want the best for the team. It is an easy team to root for.

Agree about Tasos. He is a fun player to watch, and creates the post presence we needed. Not sure if we win what we did this year without him.
Tasos and Stan are healthy and ready to make their mark on the 2021 SLT. Let’s do this.

Will Carius (WIU), R.J. Glasper (ORU), Tyree Ihenacho (UND), Grant Nelson (NDSU), A.J. Plitzuweit (USD) Congrats to all the Coyotes receiving League honors, all deserving! Since I posted earlier in the thread, about judging Coach Lee on 'his recruits' and development of players, I must tip my hat to his coaching this season, and I'm good with him as Coyote coach, for as long as he likes. I'm just a clown on a fan board, so that doesn't mean much, but the Summit League Coach of the Year, that carries some weight! Good job, Coach!

This was a heck of a season. We over achieved everyone's expectations, watched every player grow and improve, and went 2-1 against the jacks without a single game played in Verm. The tournament ended bitterly, but I think we all knew that was inevitable without AJ. I didn't think I would be saying this after this season, but I'm excited about the trajectory of this team and what we can accomplish under Lee. Go Yotes.

The USD basketball season was absolutely a pleasant surprise. Obviously AJ and Stan were the best 2 players by far but some of the secondary players really did a nice job as well. The Yotes found a way to win many close games at the beginning of the conference season and those wins just make the team more and more confident. At the beginning of the season they probably would have lost to the mid to lower Summit teams but as the season grew on those types of games turned into 20 point wins. There is no shame in losing to NDSU as they are really a team made for the Summit tourney and have been very successful in succeeding in it. Hopefully if things continue in the right direction the Yotes can make that NCAA tourney which is something that would be really cool. I am kind of stunned at the job Todd Lee did this year. There were some pretty good players lost and the season was kind of supposed to be a down year but it didn't turn out that way. Kudo's to Lee.

Coach G leaving to be an assistant at St Thomas. Definitely shocked my system to see him make a lateral move (that may be a generous statement) to a new conference rival. He is from the Twin Cities though and helping build them to D1 success could be a big resume builder.

Hate to see him go. He was a huge part of the positive developments in the program under Smith and Lee.
