If the PAC 12 and Big 10 bow out, the others have no choice. Way to much legal exposure in this world of political correctness. Football in 2020 is dead. I also thought we could play until I heard these leagues are bolting.
This is to bad. Politicians and media did this

This crap is going to last forever in this country because so many refuse to sacrifice anything for another.

I get my original post was a little insensitive but I do firmly believe our politicians ( dang near everyone of them ) has been worthless in this pandemic. And the media has driven a wedge between what normally 90% of the citizens could agree to work together for resolution. This is not the thread for this so I’ll get off my soapbox for now, but I do stand firmly convicted my original statement is overall accurate. I didn’t mean to offend or piss off anyone. It was more of a post from a wave of disappointment. Our country is better than this

Those that blame the media have one thing in common. They are typically on the wrong side of the truth or into conspiracy theories. Some people value life over sports or money and I am one of them but unfortunately I live in a state that doesn't value life first. We may have differences but the virus is not a hoax and it is at least a little bit worse than the flu. The argument really is how much worse than the flu is it? the patriotic thing to do is wear a mask, not gripe about what civil liberties are being taken away. There is selfish and there is selfless. We all can make the choice which one we chose.

So does the media drive a wedge deeper within this country or does a certain leader do that pretty effectively himself. I think we all know where the truth lies.

This should end well. For some reason a pandemic that impacts us all is a political issue, because America.

CF you're an idiot in more ways than one--sited is spelled sighted!! Wrong about Coyote sports, spelling, politics, etc The Chinese communist party caused the pandemic by not containing the virus (except for the rest of China after Wuhan) and the whole world is paying the price! The world is slowly waking up to China's true intention of global dominance so don't be the last is line CF!

There's plenty to be said about how they withheld information, but honestly if the same virus originated in the US the results would have been the same. Do you have any words for how the US has handled it though? Because that's the real problem we are all facing everyday. The US is averaging something like triple the number of new cases everyday than all of Europe combined. The rest of the world got a grip. I wonder what the difference is.

As far as detailed info the best I've found is Worldometers. Tons of graphs, charts, etc and covers all countries in the world. I think the most important statistic is deaths/million population. US is 10th in the world. China is listed as 170 and if you believe anything close to that I have a lot of stuff to sell you. Seven of the top 10 are European countries. Total cases are very misleading especially with the US tests at 65 million and India next with 11 million. Watch the deaths/million by state, country, etc. Other reasons the US is so high are we are probably the world's most mobile population and summer activities makes the spread even greater.

I'm going to refrain from wading into this debate. You know where I stand. Read my "tagline" if you don't. I could present mountains of high-quality data and research from respected experts in their fields all pointing to the same conclusion, and some people would rather take direction from the angry ravings of Rush and Sean and Alex, and some anonymous 4CHAN user claiming to predict the future. It is what it is, and I'm tired of trying to reason with anyone anymore.
It only leads to more division and back-biting from a group that used to be united as fans of USD. When you take away sports, I suppose this is what we gravitate to. It's unfortunate.

FWIW, one of my favorite things to do here is to read posts first thing in the morning, and compare the message with what time it was posted. Then I chuckle to myself as I wonder about the scenario when they were posted (too many cocktails, after a frustrating day, even-more-too-many cocktails, too much time on Twitter, etc.)

Kiyoat-- Your key word is debate! I believe we live in a great country (not perfect) and one reason we're great is freedom of speech! I was at USD during the Vietnam war era with demonstrations for and against so turbulent times but still somewhat civil. Now some social media types try to destroy those who have different views which is sad and should not be tolerated in a free country IMHO. Neither side has a monopoly on good (or bad) ideas! Discuss and compromise or agree it's ok to disagree!
Ok I'm getting off my box and can't wait for whatever Coyote sports we can have!! I think we all agree on that!

... Now some social media types try to destroy those who have different views which is sad and should not be tolerated in a free country IMHO... I'll agree with you there. I think we would disagree about which social media accounts are the primary (and constant) instigators of intolerance and hate, though. This will be my last post in this thread, if I know what's good for me.
