Cannot keep allowing the deep pass completions.

Camp had a BAD interception, throwing the ball off his lineman's back. Thankfully Illinois State couldn't do anything with it and we are 2:40 away from a huge victory.

Need to get a first down here to seal it.

Can't get 2 yards. Put it on the D to win it.

Prevent defense. Insert cliche.

Prevent defense. Insert cliche. This drive looks uncannily similar to the first 20 minutes of the game.

I have a hunch that Illinois State is overrated. I believe that was a 7-1 turnover differential. And we won by 7. Winning on the road is very hard, and Illinois State has been a perennial power in this conference. I did not expect a win today but I'm thrilled to see it.

Dammit Coyotes you are gonna make me care again. I will say that Illinois State absolutely handed this game to the Yotes on a silver platter and the Coyotes almost handed it right back but even at the very end the ISU QB threw it right to a Coyote for the final dagger. The Yotes honestly played "not to lose" football at the end. Why with 1:45 left just back off and allow a fidgity offense to have free reign all the way down the field. That is way too much time to get soft. The Coyotes should have remained in their regular defense with maybe an extra man deep. That is something you do with 30 seconds of less left on the clock, not over a minute. I also didn't like the last clock killing drive. The Coyotes on 3rd and 2 called a play that basically allowed the Redbird defense to just stop the back with ease. I would have called a play action pass "Brady style" to a wide open tight end for the kill shot. I felt the time left factor wasn't as big as converting the first down. I guess when things get tight my philosophy is to be super aggressive but I am in the minority with that though process.
With all that said a win, is a win, is a win. The Coyotes need to build off of this and get better to keep winning games but IMO who give a s**t they won. Usually we are talking moral victories not actual wins so despite many issues I only care about the final score this week. Let the team grow but also let the team realize they got lucky this week. Build and move on, but take this gift this week and turn it into a good season.
BTW I was impressed with Camp for the most part. I am glad Nielson went with a freshman. That way we can have him for 4 more years. Overall go Yotes.

I said some pretty negative things in the first half. I'm a little hungry, anybody spare some crow?
Seriously. Happy to see the team fight back. It took 7 takeaways to get out of there with the victory, but I'll take it how I can get it.
Also, I love Carson Camp.

Watched the entire game, still, some work to do on offense, need to be able to run better behind the hippos who need to do much better. Carson Camp is the real deal, plays with some attitude as well, great pocket presence, and able to throw from all kinds of angles. The defense woke up after a bad first quarter, but that prevent D at the end almost prevented us from winning.

The Coyote D forced those turnovers, nothing was handed to us.
Need to work on defensive coverages. Too many deep balls given up.
Offense needs to work on getting the run game going.

Coyotes win, jacks lose... all is right with the world. 4-7 inches of snow tonight? Well, can't have everything.

I have a feeling that this may be a roller coaster of a season, but I'm glad to steal one. We will grow a lot in the process. The QB selection makes it clear that the coaches want to use this spring to develop for the fall.
