This is the physical/low whistle type of game we have come to expect in the SLT championship game. Yotes seem nervous or tentative or something. Maybe the pressure has got to them? The ability to cut to the basket is diminished with the grab-and-hold type of game, so we may need to rely on a bit more screen and roll movement. Omaha is 4-6 from 3, which is really what is giving them a chance. Given how few possessions there are going to be, a 13 point lead will be like 20 on a normal day.

Physical, low whistle shouldn't be any problem for this bunch. That's one of the things I find most impressive about them. Even without an Arens sister on the floor, the physical and mental toughness of the guards in particular sets a serious tone. Lamb and Korngable aren't taking any shit off anybody and Krull looks like she grew up playing on the farm with the Arens girls.

The O is starting to click a bit more now. Our swagger seems to be coming back as well.

I do wish Midco was televising the game but the exposure ESPN brings has it's own pluses. With that being said - I'm muting it at the first "Ki-YO-tees". I agree - wish Midco was at least calling it. These 'professional' announcers are obviously not in the building, and are clearly disinterested half way through the 3rd quarter of a relatively close game. ("What was your favorite movie to watch on the bus?")

Sure hope this Lamb injury isn't anything that will linger into the NCAA tournament. It didn't look like anything too serious.

I have question do you think not having crowd for SLT has had effect on the games in that teams don't get as caught up in the runs of the game its more mental toughness of playing through adversities. I don't want to offend anyone here but in past with high number South Dakota fans at games helped carry both you and SDSU in past tournaments making it feel like home game has even playing field some for other teams of the Summit. Also do you think not playing them this year will have any effect on the game in my mind i would think it would favor you guys because they wouldn't have that learning curve to figure out how to beat more talented team and take advantage of what they have learned. I think if they have chance to beat you guys it will because you get into foul trouble with your front line because that is where there strength has been in this tournament. Wish you luck and i think its good to have Omaha in championship game it means conference overall is getting better because when 8 seed can reach the championship the gap between top and bottom is narrowing in the teams.This. I hope that becomes reality and I think it might be to some degree.

lamb, korngable and sjerven on all tourney team. lamb mvp. i am so happy for liv. she went from role player to all tourney team.
how about monica arens. she is tough as mails but the moment got to her. i am sure she is just showing a range of emotions and things finally caught up with her.
what a classy team that had to fight through so much including a ridiculous schedule.

If you're in the Vermillion area, help us welcome back the Yotes by parking along the route below and making some noise!

There were still about 40+ fans for each team allowed in the Pentagon this year - doesn’t sound like much, but in a venue as intimate as the Pentagon, it makes a surprising amount of difference. The farther away teams still had a smaller showing - maybe 10 or so for ORU, vs. a full group for USD, NDSU, and Omaha. I think the smaller group actually did some favors for Omaha and NDSU this year, since their crowds weren’t completely outshined by ours as they might have been in the Premier Center. And of course, I think our fan group still helped rally the team, especially in the tougher moments the last few days.

I remember this from last year, too... She might not have played much, but Claudia is one of my all time favorite Yotes due to her energy, humor, and love for her teammates.
