Got to give props to the coaching staff - Cal Poly was a game the Yotes would have struggled with recently (same with NAU). They are doing some things that have the team playing fast, confident, and not relying on any particular player/position group.
Does anyone have a feel for the injury situation heading into MVFC? What is the story with Theis?

From what I have heard about Theis, is it may have been as simple as needing some rest and they knew they had a deep stable and they were proven correct. If it works I am all for it to keep bodies fresh. We all know there have been years we started well but as the season progresses we don’t have enough depth to remain competitive. In this instance we had the depth to bring in fresh legs and freshen the lead back. A win win situation. I love that we’ve been able to rotate DL regularly and keep them fresh. Our LB corps has eaten up ball carriers too. One week at a time, and a big road trip next week. Win that one and we’re “cooking with gas” heading into back-to-back home games!

Pretty funny how the board is silent after a win. This place can be weird like that. The chatter comes back Monday. I have a hunch a lot of people only post here while at work. Something I would never condone.

I caught parts of the game on my phone since I was at a birthday party, so I don't have any meaningful observations you wouldn't also find in the box score.
Cal Poly sure seemed like an inferior team. I'm glad we made the final score reflect that. Good teams do that.
Camp going 17/20 seems like a big performance for a "freshman" QB. Confidence seemed to be missing at times in the first couple games and I hope this helps.
Do we have a large stable of very capable freshmen running backs? Mansary, Lawrence, Thomas all put plenty of yards on the board, and we didn't even see Theiss. Amazing how we went from being so questionable at this position for years to suddenly having a crowded and young backfield.
We outgained Cal Poly 615-243. That's incredible. Through 3 games the defense really seems like a big strength.
It sort of feels like the team is turning a corner here. If we can keep moving forward and take care of business at Missouri State I will be ready to get way ahead of myself and start looking at playoff scenarios.

Pretty funny how the board is silent after a win. Seeing how we've won in a very convincing manner the past two weeks the chances of a certain "dad" showing up to spew his invectives are greatly diminished. That is usually good for a page or two of lunacy.

I would normally post a few observations but I had to track the game online this time around. As others have said, good teams handle bad teams with ease and we've done that. Missouri State had a 5-1 record in conference last year and will be a much tougher test. Camp has had a clean pocket the last two games and it shows. A win in Springfield would be very cool.

In everybody's defense there often isn't much to discuss when the team takes care of business convincingly. Close wins/loses and disappointing games bring out posters in droves who need to get the disappointment off their chests. What do you really say about games like this other than good job, took care of business.

3 Games in and what looked to be our biggest weakness in the spring is now a huge strength. We are winning games in the trenches! Our lines played well at KU, looked good against NAU, and utterly dominated Cal Poly all night. I know we still have to prove it against the Valley, but I have been super impressed by the line play on both sides of the ball. Our depoth on the DL has stood out, being able to rotate multiple guys in and not have a drop off. Our physicality on OL has been impressive also. Winning the line of scrimmage is step 1 in being competitive in the Valley week in/week out. Kudos to the players for putting in the work, and the coaches for coaching these guys up over the last 6 months. Just a huge improvement in regards to line play and I could not be more excited about it!
