Well here we go. Another winnable ball game against a quality opponent. I don't know much about UNI other than they played NDSU tight last weekend and they are generally always pretty good. That being said, for the past decade or so, we always play UNI really close. I do know they're new QB is supposed to be the real deal. Let's make him uncomfortable. Also, Mark Farley is still a dbag.
This is a big one in terms of the playoff picture. We have to take it one game at a time, but when we win on Saturday, we should be favored in the next 2. Take care of business there and we're at 7 wins. I think that gets us in.

Huge game and I’ll be there with bells on my toes. They’re a solid team, not great. I saw them play the opener against Iowa State. I thought that day their defense was outstanding. I felt the their D line was huge. Another “let’s gitter done” day for our offensive line. Because Farley is questionable as a coach, there’s always controversy there, and this year is no exception. He had a QB controversy but as of yesterday, the former starter, put his name in the transfer portal.
We have some injuries so I’m hoping we get mostly healed up by Saturday. Next man up if not. I like our chances if we don’t make mental mistakes and don’t panic when UNI has their round of momentum. Always happens, teams trade Mo back and forth. If the roof doesn’t fall in and our defense just plays their normal game, 50/50 shot we walk out of there with a win.
I’m not a guy that likes to talk playoffs at this point, I’m thinking a title run. Everybody can do the math, take care of business ONE GAME AT A TIME.

Time to next the next big step....win a Road game against a ranked opponent in the Valley. Games at the UNIdome are always close for us it seems, time to get over the hump. Another statement game for OL and DL, can we run the ball and keep Camp clean, and can we stop the run and get pressure upfront on D? Winning this game on the road will show this team is ready to do some real damage in the Valley!

Here’s stats 6 games into the season. Im taking out the St. Thomas game because in reality they are D 3. The four other games they’ve played were against Iowa State, Sacramento State, Youngstown State, and North Dakota State
Average yards rushing per game
UNI 156 Opponents. 119
Average yards passing per games
UNI. 200 Opponents. 156
Average rushing yards per game
USD. 200 Opponents. 88
Average passing yards per game
USD. 200 Opponents. 203
Coyotes are 50% run…..50% pass Opponents are 30% run….70% pass
Given the last 2 weeks performance I like our chances. Looks like to me it comes down to our O line vs their D line. If we get 375-400 yards offense close to 50/50, that’s right in our wheelhouse

I think Bob said on radio we’ve turned it over 13 times against UNI the last 3 games. Take care of the ball and we should be in it at the end.

The biggest X factor in this game is home field advantage. That is a big deal in the MVFC especially when it involved the Coyotes. The UND game was a statement win. It kept the Coyotes relevant this year. Beating the Panthers isn't a must win but would be a vital win and the team need to treat this game urgently like it is a must win.

The Unidome is not a hostile place to play. Been there done that several times. Won some, lost some. But it's never been a real intimidating atmosphere. Not saying the DakotaDome is either anymore, but as far as MVFC road games go, UNI isn't a hard place to play. Not like playing in Fargo or the old Caughlin Alumni stadium.

That’s why I really would love to create a situation where the DakotaDome is harder than hell to play in. If you haven’t been to a game in Fargo it’s an eye opener. Fans are BRUTAL

They're right on top of you in Fargo and are basically all a**holes, in a good way I guess. They get it. The dome used to feel that way when the students were right above the opposing team. I really miss the days when teams on that far sideline had to keep their helmets on because the student section was that ruthless. I hope those days aren't gone forever but it'll be tough with the students all packed in one section now.

Thank you for starting the talk. Win on Saturday and it will be an announcement to the rest of the conference, and the FCS, that we have arrived. Huge opportunity here.

In this series home field hasn't been as big of a factor because UNI has controlled the recent series.
games in Cedar Falls since the games resumed in 2008 favor UNI 5-1
games in Vermillion also favor UNI 4-1

No UNI game notes. Anyone know why? Probably because Farley is rumored to be extremely uncooperative with the media.

Holiday on Monday delayed everything?
I hear we are 10 point underdogs. Seems a bit extreme.
