Molly Miller's record doesn't look too bad. That's who got my vote. Those last two years are at Grand Canyon. Krull and Watson in transfer portal This is the main difference between Amy leaving and now though. Players don’t have to sit out a year anymore, if you take too long you run the risk of losing key pieces to the transfer portal before the new coach can sell them on the vision. |

You could argue that Dawn’s best recruiting ever came when she kept Ciara, McKeever, Frederick, & Ponder on their NLI after Amy left. Ponder was jettisoned quickly, and Ciara maybe was never leaving because of her sister.

We DID lose a 2016 recruit though. Rylie Casio-Jensen followed Williams to NU, later transferred to State. Wondering if Krull or Watson are hoping to get picked up by WVU?

With Maddie, I wonder about the Huskers. Most NE girls dream of playing for that team and Amy just may want to make that happen. |

Why isn't anybody looking at Bart Brooks Belmont bruins pretty impressive record or is there something I'm missing with him ?

I don't understand this. Any school worth a salt that respects the player understands why they are in the portal and should be patient enough with their standing offer to wait until that player has had a chance to speak with an incoming coach. If you are getting an offer with a timer on it that will be pulled you don't want to go there anyway. The program's first official act towards the player is a high pressure act, what do they think the rest of their career is going to be like there. They obviously view you as a piece of meat, a disposable commodity. Be smarter and play the long game, worst case scenario you remain a Coyote which isn't all that bad. |

Why isn't anybody looking at Bart Brooks Belmont bruins pretty impressive record or is there something I'm missing with him ? Not missing anything. The only reason I brought him up was that I was looking at mid-majors that were having success, but maybe would be considered on a lower tier (like NKU was when we got Dawn). Just a shot in the dark on my part. |

I'm hearing that Krull and Watson were hoping to follow Dawn to WVU, but have not heard from her yet. This wasn't any kind of collusion on Dawn's part, just them wanting to follow her. Guessing Dawn would take them if they still wanted to leave after meeting with the new coach? But that's just speculation.
I'd hope that they would at least wait for a new coach to talk to them. A P-5 coach mentioned that the Vermillion job is probably less attractive w/o those two on the roster.
Also hearing that this process shouldn't have taken this long. Must have had plan A fall through, and didn't have a plan B in place? Speculation on that. That's disappointing, if true.
