Love this kids VIBE and the way he carries himself and most important, so did his teammates. No panic and just balled. Doesn't see ghosts and stood tall and confident in the pocket with all the bullets flying around him. Key was he was decisive and ball came out on time, which helps your OL. Very impressive debut, but it's what's next that matters. On top of all that, the defense played lights out in the 2nd half, especially the DBs and LBs vs some top notch WRs. Very impressive, minus the unnecessary penalties. It kind of goes hand-in-hand with the Offense possessing the ball, getting 1st downs. The offense improves the Time of Possession, and the Defense really shines! Keep it going in Youngstown! |

Bouman needs to back it up on the practice field this week and prove himself as the new leader of the 1's. With that said, I fully expect him to take first snaps against YSU.
I get the feeling that Bob really thought he had something special with Carson and is going to struggle to let that project go, but ultimately he'll do what's best for the team.
