With the focus on being ready for SLT, I'm curious what the strategies will be today. Will the Yotes try to out-run/out-quick the bigger Jacks? Will the Yotes go out and take a UND-like attitude of doing everything short of throwing punches (forearm shivers to the back of the head allowed) to learn how to match the physical play? Will SDSU try to minimize Grace, or try to make the other 4 players beat them?

All the coaching and scheming in the world can’t cover up the fact that they’re just currently a lot better basketball team. There’s just no chance defensively against this team. Larkins and Avila-Ambrosi might rattle a lot of guards. They ain’t gonna rattle Gylten and Meyer.

61-31 at Half. Yup you read that right, not final…. Half. We have a lot of injuries that are limiting us but this is also on the coaching staff. Completely unprepared. This looks like a scrimmage between an NAIA school and SDSU, embarrassing.

Outside of Grace, every player they put on the floor is better than all of ours. I think Demers won't be in that category for long, but we have a long recruiting climb to be competitive again. That being said, SDSU is a better team than us but they are not 50+ points better than us, talent-wise. Part of that is experience and it is obvious. Selland might be eligible for AARP after this season.

This type of effort is really discouraging and will hurt head-to-head recruiting. It is kind of a double edged sword. We've got our work cut out for us. The athletic department will probably have the patience, but I'm not sure the fan base will after the success we've had. Ok. frustrations out. We will have better days. Let's hope they come sooner rather than later.

I think state will run the table this year in the league.

All sorts of reasons for it but the simple fact is that State is currently much better than the U. Probably not 59 better most nights but significantly better right now. Keep plugging. Get healthy. Hit on a few recruits. But just keep fighting.
