She didn't play at UNO.
From the Press & Dakotan: "Prior to Tuesday night’s non-conference match at Nebraska-Omaha, Kritenbrink — who missed the match after having her appendix removed — had 230 kills and an average of 4.11 kills per set. Both rank in the top three in the Summit League."

I would imagine Kendall will be out for Friday night's home match with IUPUI. Hopefully she can be back in time for next Monday against SDSU.

At one point the Yotes were 5-2 in the Summit but have now slipped to 5-5 without playing the top 2 teams in the conference in the process. Hopefully they can get the ship righted and get back to winning again. The Yotes beat S Utah in Cedar City earlier in the year but lost a 2 sets to 1 lead yesterday in Vermillion.

So is there a rule on goyotes.net that we can only talk about our sports teams when they are winning. Pretty ugly finish to the season on what should be an improving team throughout the Summit League schedule. If I go any futher I will lose about 10 points on the Karma so why doesn't someone else do the dirty work this time and tell us what the h**l is going on with this team.

Just like the the football team and every other organization they exhibited effort. They may not have been "successful" by your narrow definition but going to five sets is much better than getting swept. Looking at the box scores I see a team that is competing and forcing teams to beat them. Unfortunately they do not win every game and in your eyes that makes them unsuccessful and in need of all sorts of changes. One thing I have learned playing football and being around young people effort is the thing you want to see the most.

Not too shabby when the top kills people are freshmen and sophomores. Houk has built a very solid foundation that is a year ahead of where they should be. Unfortunately Coyotefan, you don't know much about volleyball, which is a horrible shame. Yes, it was a tough end to the season, but they overachieved to start the season. They wore down like a young team does. Look for this team to be very competitive in the Summit next year. In fact, they were competitive this year, which is what you complain about the most...
With the key players back, USD should compete for a Summit League title for the first time that they are eligible for it. Perfect.

Like I said I get hammered everytime I even mention a team when they are struggling but the fickle fans only like to talk about teams when they are winning. It's a no wonder so many teams on campus receive such a lack of support. CF#1 maybe you should set a new rule. The only time people can post about a Coyote Sports team is after a win. Oh, wait that rule must have already been put into effect.
And to you BigOYote. If a team losses all or most of their games and gives a good effort than that must be good enough in your eyes. Sports at the D1 level is not just about effort. Eventually it has to be about wins and losses. Something many Coyote fans have a very difficult time holding their teams accountable for.
The bottom line is this volleyball team is sucking right now. I don't want to hear about hunky dorey when things suck like they have been. Oh wait once again I have been mistaken. Every Coyote match that is a 5 set match is automatically counted as a win. I must go recalculate the record, my bad.
Houke may or may not be a good coach but I don't want to hear about how good of a coach he is until he starts proving it the win loss column. It's not like the Summit League is the Pac 10 of volleyball.

Coach Hauck is laying a great foundation to build for future Summit success. You may be right or you may be wrong but none of us really know that as of yet.

I will just leave this thread with this comment. Excuse makers in sports programs, franchises or whatever are normally associated with losing teams. Those that demand accountability and expect winning instead of just hoping to win are normally associated with winning teams.
Listen here, I am not saying Houke is not a good coach. I have never said that. I am just saying their is some question to whether he is a good coach. He has not really proven much yet. I am simply asking for a bit more than we have been getting lately. Is that not fair?
