As for me, I like the variety and geographic locations. So who all decides which teams we play and which ones we don't? I know that a lot of it is on D. Herbsters' shoulders and I'm sure that the head coaches have a say in this but is there anyone else that is a key decision maker in signing these deals? I don't know how it works at USD but at most schools one of the assistant/associate AD's is assigned to work out the football schedule, Obviously the coach and AD are in on the conversation, but they aren't usually the ones who do the leg work and negotiations, in fact the coach may not even have veto power.

I believe Drake is a home and home. We will be going to Des Moines in the future. SDSU is paying them 180k to open up their new stadium. SDSU's deal is a 2 for 1 deal with Drake coming to Brookings in 16 and 17 and SDSU going to Des Moines in 19. 2019 is the next 12 gave season, which is why SDSU is willing to go to Des Moines since they can still have 6 home games that year. There are 6 home games this year and again in 15 and 16. The goal is 6 home games every year once the Dana is open in 2016.

The Dana? (If the new stadium picks up a nickname, I don't think the "Dana" will be the one).

JackJD just made my day with that reply. =) Too funny and agreed, "The Dana" is not a good nick-name.

But Yotefan it goes with The Denny in SF, now if we can just get Miles or Jim to finish a big check to USD BB arena we can call ours The Gym (Jim).

You know something, you raise a good point buddy. For the right price people can call it whatever they want. =)

I don't know if the dates are set yet, but we are playing at KSU, at UC Davis, hosting Drake, then the same conference slate as last year but with the sites reversed.

Thanks for the date on that one. Looking into this I now see that the dates for this season are all finalized. The non-conference is as follows:
9/5 @kansas State 9/12 @uc Davis 9/19 Drake 9/26 Bye
