Teams do sputter on offense like that honestly. Yes, there should be a discussion about Wilhelm maybe seeing a possession or two, but he didn't look good in the time he saw and is coming off his second shoulder surgery. He is essentially in his first year in the program and has played two of the last four years basically. He needs a lot of time yet.
SDSU is the perfect example. They had NO offense for 4 games and now have had two good offensive outputs. Teams do sputter on offense like this.
You do speak candidly, but you don't like it when others speak candidly because it takes away from your presence. You called for a person to be banned because you misread their post and it dissed yours. That's why I am stating this.
Like I said before, start checking your ego at the door.

It's getting a little nasty in here, perhaps even a little Bisonville-ish. Can we at least agree that this is funny: HILARIOUS

CoyoteFan, as a former player, I do have the highest of expectations for the Coyotes. I want them to win every time they take the field/court. You do not go from being starved of resources for 20 years (in comparison to your peer schools) and go out and do that though. The resources are trickling in and momentum has started. The players this year have played harder and with more passion every game than any Coyote team I can remember. That is an incredible step forward. There were a few games last year that were not great all around efforts.
Ed has taught our guys to expect to win - Defend your home turf - and become a solid road team. Those are all steps in the process.
It is easy to focus on the drops, the missed throws and some of the bone-headed penalties. There is some real improvement I see as I watch the games - things that are happening now that were missing in the past. The OL has gotten more talented each year for the last 5 years. They are stronger, more physical, better technically, and way more aggressive getting down field to make key blocks. The receivers are blocking their tails off - that makes such a key difference turning big plays into scores. d The defense is playing out of their minds. They have been tackling and sprinting to the ball virtually every play. If you have any of the games recorded go watch our defense and after each play count how many Coyote Defenders are in the screen as the tackle is made. When you lose your entire DL/DE starters and the guys waiting in the wings are undersized - you have some problems. DL is the toughest position to recruit for FCS according to the coaches. Big fast guys in HS get picked up by BCS teams most of the time. Our coaches have to find quick kids that are undersized that can grow into the position. Ed has recruited some tall lanky rangy kids and they are a little lighter and undersized. Watch them though, they are fighters and are tough as nails. They will get bigger, but that takes time. The defense is getting better every game and I expect even more improvement next week.
Would have loved to have seen the Yotes get a victory against UNI, but they were better on that Saturday. USD needs to keep using them as a measuring stick for now, but aim even higher. I am a Coyote Kook-aid drinker for sure, but I think USD can become and will become a power on the FCS level.
Imagine the Dome completely remodeled to seat 16000, packed for a playoff game against Montana, Delaware, App State, SDSU.....
It will happen.

I am not the one threatening to ban someone and putting them on 50% warning for voicing an opinion. Who's ego is it that really needs to be checked here. You and I know that we don't have a great history from prior endevors so as soon as I knew you were in control of this board I figured you'd be threatening to ban me as soon as things started to get a little controversial. I guess you are the boss here and I really have no say in the matter. I know that you are not fond of me and I have known that for awhile now.

Coyote Fan, you ARE the one who called for Yote4ever to be banned for voicing an opinion. We haven't had any trouble with each other until now, so stop your whining and crying and start taking responsibility for your actions and what you say, okay? If you want to act like a five-year old and cry to mommy when someone and be a tattle tale because yote4ever's post wasn't PG and it was PG-13, well grow up. We are all big boys and the F-U wasn't directed at you. It's symbolizing what you were sort of saying about Ed.
Like I said, get over yourself and stop trying to turn this on me and Yote4ever. Take responsibility for once, thank you.

I did originally think yoteforver was saying FU toward me so that is my bad if he wasn't. Whining and crying about what. I made my point and made it strong. I am not the one whining and crying here but whatever. I am about wins and losses. If that is too Yankee fan like well I guess it is what it is.

On Friday, my wife and myself are climbing aboard flight # something and heading to Las Vegas. From there, Alamo will provide me the transportation to Cedar City, where we will sleep in, leach off some SUU tailgate, and watch the Coyotes pound the Thunderbirds.
I simply will say that I personally want to watch the Coyotes pound SUU.

Coyote Fan, you were whining "ban him" until you went back and read it. Don't compare yourself to a Yankee fan. This is now done.
but it was two last words haha. I agree GoYotes. This is the last word about it.
Onto next week and SUU.

Haha that is awesome and completely applies here. Oh Jim Mora, he was great. This rant makes it a bit ironic that he moved to the media booth after he was done as a coach haha. Plus he son didn't really know what was going on either....

He is right to a point that there are so many little things within the game that it's hard to know everything that is going on. It's the coaches jobs to know but it's also their job to win. Coaches should be judged on wins and losses. Complicate it all you want but one thing that fans do know is that a win is a win and a loss is a loss anyway you break it down. If you win you are generally considered a good coach and if you don't you aren't. That is the bottom line and that is what coaches should be judged on. There are little things that the average fan is just not going to know and wouldn't know unless they did the job themselves. There are also obvious things that stand out that it doesn't take a great coach to know.
