Gotta give the Jacks credit, their 1-3-1 zone was effective and Tellie tubby was shooting lights out, surprising performance. The best 5-8 team in the league, I will give them that.

Great work on the tradition thread.
My vote reinstate the Little Brown Jug (just attach it to the Corn Showdown Series promo), bring back the Sitting Bull Trophy, and if North Dakota wants to bring back their 'traditional' nickname, all the better!

I have to admit, I was watching the Men laying down the new order for the Summit League on the big screen and catching glimpses of the Womens game on my ipad. But everytime I looked the Refs were getting camera time and the Jacks were flopping.
But I'm sure if I were to watch the entire game, I'd see a signature Aaron Johnston defense clinic and some hot shooting by the Jacks.
Tip your hat, and go get them in March!

Feeling a lot better about the NDSU game after the gut-wrenching loss. Really like this team's fight, you can tell it has a lot to do with the head coach and staff! Like our depth, Hagedorn's re-emergence could be a real positive as the season progresses. If we get and stay healthy, and continue to progress during the year the SLT could be a lot of fun.
Have to apologize to my State college friends who I mocked for talking about the Jacks being a tournament team this year. But there they sit, just a half game out of the tournament...I was thinking of the other, oh well, never mind...... Good job little bunnies

Watched on Directv, an impressive win.
Denver is a solid team, don't think they will drop many home games. Coyotes worked hard for this one, they should be proud. TBM brought his "lunch box" as evidenced by his 12 boards, he didn't finish on some of his shots, but he was doing a lot of his work in there where it's crowded. His steal and dunk was probably the most athletic play of the night. All around effort from whole team, a lot of guys contributed.
Announcers were saying early that the Coyotes pace would be problematic later due to the altitude. Looks like the "pride of the Western Plains" plays well in the "Mile High City"!

Many SDSU fans have long since written off the South Dakota Seekamp's because without Nicole there is no way that the Coyotes could continue to be good and for sure without the other seniors and Amy Williams as well. Kind of funny how that works because the Yotes are still here. Many other Jacks fans are talking about a 16-0 conference record and a sweet 16 as if it was a right of passage for their team this year. Many don't even view the Coyotes as a threat to them. I just love the continued disrespect from Brookings regarding the Coyotes program. Don't listen to the Jacks fans, the only time you need to hear from them is when they're trying to unload their SLT tickets in March! |

I was watching the game on and off, didn't see Mooney's shooting %, so my comments were to a smaller sample than for those of you who saw the entire game.
I do give credit though to players who are still moving their feet on defense late in 3rd game/3rd day. He made a couple of steals late that came from hard work. And he wasnt alone in the 'hustle category'.
