Last year was a step back, plus the MVFC seems to keep moving forward in its dominance in FCS ranks. Hard to be overly optimistic at this stage.
I am looking forward to seeing "who steps up", as I believe we have a couple of good recruiting classes to draw from and a few young players who have had some early success, or at least shown promise.
Agree with all posts above, can't project a lot of wins, I would measure this season by how much improvement is made.

My preference would have been to fund football as a priority, facilities and overall program. And I agree that USD is in a tough spot with that program, and needs to win NOW and get a plan in place to expand improve the Dome. They need that to be able to compete in the recruitment process necessary to win in the MVFC.
However, I am very pleased with what USD has done with the Arena and the SPEC, and the overall progress that has been made in our Summit league sports. We will be christening new facilities with teams that are at the top or competitive in the fight for conference crowns. In fact, we were practically in a dead heat for the Summit League Commissioner's Cup, when you factor out points for sports in which we don't field a team. The new facilities will (actually already have) improve our recruitment for these sports, which should start building the momentum for achieving the crowds and financial support needed to be successful long-term in D1 sports. We need to be patient and keep supporting the program, success breeds success!

On Sacramento State site, it looks like they will play Pacific on 11/29, meaning that the Yotes will play Eastern Washington on 11/29, if I read it correctly.

Another fine article by Mick...
The Fighting Sioux will be hard to replace, the current list doesn't look too promising IMHO

Congrats to the Yotes! Looks like the staff did a nice job of cleaning up the trophy and have it ready for enshrinement in the USD facilities. Don't think the traveling trophy will be traveling much anymore ... And, of course, all for a good cause, thanks to all (even SDSU) that contributed.

Congrats to the USD Mens Golf. That looked like some clutch golfing, based upon the scorecards, third to first on championship Sunday! The Summit League Championships keep rolling in, make room for another banner!

This would be a perfect year for the Coyotes to stiffen their schedule some more. Seekamp brings leadership, energy, and competiveness at a high level. Coach Williams should be confident to compete against Power 5 teams... I'm not thinking Coach Williams' confidence is the contributing factor to USD's out of conference schedule. Just sayin'

Great news! With Duffy and the solid recruiting class coming in, this news might just give the Yotes an "upset-free" Summit League Tourney next year! Can't wait, welcome back Nicole!

Congrats to Brandon! Admire the dedication, it's one thing to be a successful athlete, it is quite another to be a successful STUDENT athlete. Wish him well in his future endeavors.

In the women's ncaa tourney SDSU falls to Oregon State 74-62 I guess they spent all their upset money in Sioux Falls

Good article, thanks for posting. Nothing against psychology, biology, art and politics, but I would add that the Business and Law schools are pretty impressive also...

The depth of this squad is really its strength. They have bona fide stars in Seekamp, Contreras, but being able to have Arens, Stewart, Hoff, Liveringhouse come off the bench and keep the quality of play at a high level is really a difference maker.
