I'm with you on that cuz, Forbes is like 19-23 against USD, you've got to think their game plan is to get him 23 shots in this Tournament game. It will be interesting to see Coach Smith's plan, do you use Hunter,ERob,Sparks and their 15 fouls and go after him, or do you let him get his 35 and focus on the perimeter players?

Coyotes are 3-3 against the three teams (FW, SDSU, NDSU) they would likely face if they were to win the SLT, and just drilled the best of those 3. I like their chances, certainly higher than 2%...

golfingyote, you are exactly right. Coach Smith and staff have really put the Coyotes in a good position. They have them entering the SLT, obviously not the favorites, but certainly as a "tough out". I also don't think that the Yotes will get "out-coached" in the Tourney, and the pieces are starting to fit together (Burnette, even Sparks adding some much-needed inside help), and the team defense and rebounding, has been good almost the entire year. "Crushing" the 1 seed right before tourney time doesn't hurt the confidence meter either. I'm looking forward to the Tourney, and even more excited about next year! Go Yotes!

I want to post about the Women's T&F effort at the League Championships also, 2nd place finish with some strong individual efforts. Looking forward to the outdoor season and also seeing how they stack up regionally and nationally.
And of course finishing in front of State college and adding a point in the Corn Showdown, good work all around!

It was nice to see GoYotes.com, Summit League Championsip banners and a rout of the 1 seed Bunnies! A good news day at the U.
3 in a row for the Men's T&F, congrats!! A Dynasty.

Long day at work, didn't get to see this one. Sounds like Coach Smith and staff had a long day at work also.
I don't think I'll bother looking for the replay.

SDSU at Frost is a tough setting no doubt, but just a typical solid Yotes effort and you can make room for another banner in the new arena! Go get'em Yotes!!

I see WR Anderson was named offensive scout player of the the year, so another to keep an eye on from this group.

Just had a chance to watch the ORU game on ESPN3.com. Tre Burnette being the 4th offensive weapon makes a big difference. In addition, he brings some good rebounding skills, and as Yotes pointed out that is huge to the Coyotes overall performance. 7-6 and 3 home games left, 3rd seed a possibility, Tyler Flack didn't play a minute all year.....Coach Smith and staff, so far so good. Now let's have some fun!!
And Yotes fans, how about we show some love to Tyler Larson, Brandon Bos and all seniors these last few games in the Dome.

Good question, obc.
I don't have any information other than HUDL recruiting videos, so I'm sure things have changed. These are the athletes I'm looking forward to seeing, based upon my guess that they could be contributors:
LB Van Ginkel (not on list, I guess he was a late signer) WR Carpenter RB Bratland DB Colpitts LB Leohr DE Krolikowski ATH Vigneri TE Fenchel
There are a lot of good athletes, I'm sure I missed some. Here's hoping they are all working hard to be the next stars.
Go Yotes!

You don't really know until they're on the field playing games for the U, but it sure looks to me like this is a real good recruiting class. Coach Glenn and staff did a great job! Success breeds success, looking ahead, imagine how we'll be able to recruit when we're winning games and battling it out at the top of the MVFC.

We missed opportunities at the line, and ORU made tough shots and battled hard on the road, they deserved the win. And the officiating in the final seconds was terrible! Those are all facts.

The best team always wins, but that was pathetic officiating in the final seconds.

I was pretty bummed out about last season, now, hope springs eternal. I like what I am seeing from this class of recruits, there is potential here, now coach them up. Last year was a downer, for sure, but I too am excited about this potential class of recruits. I'm also looking forward to seeing last year's Red Shirts, I believe we may have a couple of impact players in that group. It is the season for optimism, as always, FIGHT SOUTH DAKOTA!
