Why isn't Coyote Fan listed as one of the options?

Interesting to hear that Matt Zimmer who covers the Jacks, indicated that he had heard some rumblings about this happening. WTH!! 1. It's a small state. Word gets around. 2. Anyone can say they know something. It gets attention even though nothing is actually contributed.

In the past two head coaching searches, Herbster has said that he needs someone who has been a head coach before, even if it was last at Mayville State or Kentucky Wesleyan. Ryan Miller has never been one. It's crazy to me that he is still coming up in these conversations. We already skipped on him twice and no one else went after him either. Weird to see Billeter come up again too. Shouldn't he be focused on going D1? (lol). It's like I've travelled 8 years back in time.
I think it's important to have someone with D1 experience. McCollum has an astoundingly good record at NW Mo State, but zero D1 experience.
I'm pretty confused why these head coaches at lower levels who haven't excelled are even brought up. 9 years at Upper Iowa and the best you've finished is third? Alright...here's the keys.
Lansing spent forever at Indiana State, which is not all that different than our level, and never broke through. Ties to the university aren't that important.
Saul Phillips put together one of the best Summit teams I can recall, but I'm not so sure about the 8 years that have followed.
Kemp, Blount, and Krabbenhoft have never been head coaches.
I'm going with either Peterson or Wicks from that list. But who actually knows? I'm betting on the field if the last search is any indication. This list seemed like a challenge to find as many guys with local ties as possible rather than explore realistic candidates.

I wonder if Herbster is looking at this all wrong. In the last 10 years and you could probably go back way longer, how many Summit League Tourney Champs had previous college HC experience? That’s right 0. Scott Nagy - 0 Saul Phillips - 0 TJ otz a burger - 0 David Richmond - 0 ORU - Paul Mills - 0 Hendo- 0
Are we really worried about finding a guy who has HC experience??

Well, anyway, I have some news about the potential hire, at least who is getting the first offer. I’m hearing there is a plane going to SLC. Peterson. Sometimes the most obvious is the most correct.

There is a little more I learned that I may share, but wanted to double check if it should be shared first. Not a positive thing, I’m afraid.

I don’t know anything about the reasons for the firing, just the repercussions.

I don’t know anything about the reasons for the firing, just the repercussions. Violations ? No idea. It isn’t a huge secret, just not sure if I should share it. Will come out at some point anyway. The hiring is the bigger news.
