Are you ready for the Rodent Bowl - rabbits v. gophers?
Some are expecting the gophers to run roughshod over the bunnies. If the gophers are pounding the bunnies will Drunk Stig counter with defensive adjustments such as, wait for it....cramps, fainting spells, or the old timey vapors?

They haven't posted the game notes with the "2 Deep" for Montana. I thought they used to post that on the Monday before the game or am I not remembering correctly?

According to a Des Moines Register article from May, Larkins had offers from Drake, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Illinois. It was also noted she is the number one ranked 2021 WBB player in Iowa. (btw, she is also a top track athlete) Wow, kudos to our coaches for recruiting her but also a big thank you to Grace for choosing to be a Yote!

The Dakota Dome renovation doesn't come with a payment book? For those interested in facts, note the South Dakota Building Authority, at its 11/30/18 meeting, approved the sale of bonds to finance $14.5 million of the Dakota Dome renovation (plus provide funds for an outdoor football practice facility). Those bonds will be repaid using the income stream from the Dakota Dome. When the repayment period starts, you'll see a line item on the Regents' financial summaries. [One of the posts in this thread provided a link to a Board of Regents financial summary for FY18 -- keep in mind when reviewing such information that you're looking at history, not what is occurring now and will be reported in the future.] For those interested in all the facts, note the SDBOR minutes from their October 2-4, 2018 meeting state on page 3659 that the debt will be repaid with private funds from the USD Foundation. Hmmm, so jockjd, aka Mother Superior, muffed another one?

No first hand knowledge, but my guess is Kanon and AJ are not on scholarship for the upcoming year (actually it was stated that Kanon is definitely not this year). Brady makes 17 on the roster. Add Isaiah and Caden to the non-scholarship group and that leaves 13 players. You are right about Kanon, I think it was him I was thinking of that we confirmed was walking on this year. AJ might actually be on scholarship this year. If so then I think somebody will end up going, one of the other new guys. If AJ is walking on the first year, then I think we should be good to go as far as scholarships go. Would AJ get free or reduced tuition because of his mother’s employment?

A belated congratulations to Jeniah Ugofsky on winning the 2019 South Dakota Miss Basketball award. She brings the full package with her ability to score, rebound, defend, and and always adding a lot of assists. She committed as a sophomore and has worked relentlessly to hone her game. We are going to enjoy watching her in Coyote Red!

Awesome news ... AJ was NSIC freshman of the year and the Koster kid was the MIAA's second best behind a red-shirt freshman from NW Mo St. Good gets for the Yotes. Sounds like USD has contacted 6-11 Brady Heiman who was asked not to return by Fred Hoiberg. I recall Smith having interest in Heiman while he was in high school. I don't remember if we offered. Apparently Omaha is also interested and it might be a challenge to get him to leave his home state.

Although there is little joy in Mudville,
no one will ever take away
the joy they have
in standing on
the highest stack
of press clippings ever.

And just how do you go about doing that? Can you do it on a laptop? Yes. You create a profile on their website then start following profiles you want to see updates from. When you log kn your feed will be a list of tweets from your selected pages. Elsen and Thayer are great follows. The official Coyote feeds are worth following. Search for anything you're interested in and start following them. If their posts end up being uninteresting simply unfollow them. My favorite thing to follow is businesses, especially breweries. Get all the latest news on events and beer releases and see who I should revisit. In addition to twitter feeds from the USD individual sports teams (and their coaches), I usually follow new USD recruits from across the spectrum. It gives you a flavor for their personalities, sense of humor etc. If their tweets get beyond my sense of humor, or tastes, I unfollow them. There are several highly successful athletes who are doing interesting things after graduation, i.e Nicole Seekamp. Have followed her for years and although she doesn't tweet a lot it is always interesting to hear what is going on in her life. Another example is favorite pro teams. Due to the (often unfortunate) circumstance of growing up in household of Twins fans, I follow most all things Twins related, players, coaches, sportscasters, columnists, etc. Hope springs eternal. I also enjoy following a limited number of witty politicians and national figures. My "unfollows" greatly exceed my current follows in that category. I find the better ones based on who is re-tweeting them. Just another hobby that keeps me off the streets and out of the pool hall.

As most of you are probably aware, USD had a giving campaign that started at 9:57 this morning and concludes at 5:00 PM on Wednesday. The campaign is part of the festivities related to the inauguration of President Gestring and runs for 1862 minutes in memory of the fact that USD opened in 1862. Here is a link to the campaign. There are numerous challenge gifts, so every dollar you give helps unlock other gifts. Everyone should gift at least $18.62 and for those that are able put the number(s) of your choice in front of the 18.62 ^^^^^^^ This ^^^^^^^^

^ the kid seems like a good twitter follow, as well. This might be addition by subtraction? Other than the fact that he also is tasked with SD HS sports. I guess we will see. The one thing I will say that was a huge advantage Mick had was perspective. Knowledge of the NCC days from a long stint. Times change, though. This kid seems pretty perceptive. He should pick it up fast. I bet KWSN interviews him weekly, as well. Agreed. I have had an Argus subscription for the better part of 50 years and its decline is sad. Mick is a good person who didn't deserve what happened to him. He was never a bandwagon fan, which I appreciated, and in my estimation he was very good at his trade. Now I have an e-Edition subscription and I make an effort to click at least once on every Yote story, wherever I see it. Like it or not, that is what is measured and thus rewarded.

Naah Mitch, you could only aspire to work at Taco Johns, you are more of a Dog 'n Suds guy. My older brother has a root beer collection. His bottle of Dogs and Suds is my favorite one. Did not realize until now that it was a restaurant of some sort. There was a Dog 'n Suds in Mitchell about 40 years ago. Don't know if Mitch Rabid caught that tho.

I always get a chuckle about how concerned they are at what goes on in Vermillion and their need to reassure each other on how wonderful they are. Does anyone here really give a damn on what goes on up in Brookings other than things related to Summit/MVFC competition, standings etc? I assume the continued talk about Stigs DUI goes under ECT? Of course you dont give a damn about what goes on in Brookings. And no, i dont do the Argus chat. My job at Taco Johns prevents me from doing that. Naah Mitch, you could only aspire to work at Taco Johns, you are more of a Dog 'n Suds guy.
