Saying this with no validation (too busy/lazy to look up) but having watched nearly every game, she is getting it done with few whistles. Of course, our conference foes haven't provided much competition on the inside game. Also a shout out to Taylor Frederick. She is pretty much unstoppable in the paint. Love her attitude and work ethic.

Granted I have only watched SDSU WBB, and ORU WBB when they played at the U but ORU>SDSU.
The first 5 USD players off the bench could (should) start for most of the other teams in the conference.
The Yote WBB team is GOAT in my opinion. You have to credit the players for how hard they have worked and Coach P and staff for their recruitment and development.
Finally, I would probably pay admission to watch one of their full blown scrimmages!

new interview with Ciara: She is an amazing young lady! Kelly Stewart does a great job with the interview as well. I see Ciara is a political science major but no matter where her career path takes her, she will be successful.

I couldn’t be there tonight. How was the crowd? Size and noise? 1,300 and I thought it was a very loud crowd.

Mount Marty is scoring 70.7 ppg, but that is against NAIA teams, and I think this will be another "development" game where we don't see the starters much in the second half. Maybe we will get to see Hempe and Guebert get some more minutes. Not sure why Allison Peplowski didn't see the court in the last game. She didn't look injured. Speaking of Allison Peplowski, has she played at all this season? If not, is she injured, does Dawn plan on red-shirting her, or is there something else going on? Coach P spoke at Lunch with the U today and said Peplowski is redshirting. Sounds like it was at her (Peplowski's) request but she is ready to play if needed.

I met Evelyn at a Chick-fil-a while in Overland Park for a youth baseball tournament a year or so ago. She was an amazing young lady! I was wearing a Yote hat and shirt and she approached me while with friends and we struck up a conversation for 10 minutes. I think she was impressed cause I could talk volleyball in general, but especially Yote VB pretty fluently! My recollection from the conversation wasn't as an OH either. I did get the impression she was an all around player. Evelyn was named Kansas 6A player of the year! Congratulations - that's big time!!

I went to college with Joey. I am 99% certain he is originally from Florida. I think they may have been a military family and his father may have been at Offut air base at one time.

I don't have the steal that set this up, but here is the shot that forced OT Those Arens sisters- First there was Bridget, and then Allison, and then Monica. Add the initials up and you get BAM!, with Monica adding the exclamation point last night!!!!

Bob has to own this disaster.
Can't see it happening, but the right thing would be for him to resign and forego his contract.

Great turnout! I hope they do more of these in the future. A thousand fans really create a good atmosphere in a 3,000 seat venue. Kinda disappointed the WBB team won't be playing there this season, but their home schedule in Vermillion has some high-level opponents that should draw very well, and make the University some money. The men's team will play at the Pentagon on Dec 20. The only negative of a great turnout (and a great win) was the apparent lack of preparedness on the part of staff at Pentagon. Not enough ticket windows led to long lines trying to get in at start time and concession stands not able to handle the traffic. Great venue and I hope we play there again.

Went to UC Davis and Wyoming VB matches. I am a relative newbie to following VB but the Yote team is really fun to watch. The low light was too many service errors but more than offset with really good defense, and at times truly explosive offense. Hard to beat watching Slaughter, Wiedenfeld, Juhnke, and several others, pound the ball over the net. They can hit the ball hard but also take advantage of defensive openings. Comparatively, the other teams tended to hit the ball hard whether the blockers were in place or not.
Before the second match Coach Williamson held a "coach talk" for anyone interested. Went through a number of offensive, defensive and serving strategies. There will be more of these, and if you have the opportunity to attend, you won't regret it. Williamson does a great job explaining the finer points of the game. She has a natural enthusiasm and I can understand her recruiting and winning successes.
Finally, my grandson and I will be attending the FB game and staying for VB. I have 2 extra tickets in the Cortrust Club area to watch VB. If you would like to have them (free), DM me and we will work out details. Yote fans only.
