A great hire in my opinion. SD roots and excellent overall BBall pedigree.

Congratulations to the coaches and all of the T & F athletes! This was a tremendous performance for their first Summit Outdoor Conference Championships. If you haven't looked at the individual results yet it is well worth the time: www.usdcoyotes.com/sports/track/release.asp?release_id=7139Coaches Gotts and Coach Huber, have done extraordinary jobs coaching T & F for USD for many years. And, to inform anyone who may not know, their respective teams just took 2nd place at the conference outdoor championships without the benefit of an outdoor track facility at USD. This great performance is another reason to support the Howling Pack, and the athletic facilities funding campaign. The new outdoor track facilities will cost about $3.5M and it would be hard to argue that any group of athletes (and coaches) deserves it more.

This story line, USD playing NDSU in SF, has stirred up a lot of people but it is becoming more positive as it unwinds. The bunny board has seven pages about this issue and for all the nutters over there who think this is an absolutely crazy idea there are now a number of them who can see some upside potential for USD and it appears to worry some of them?! Go figure. Nice article in the Sioux City Journal about the spring game: siouxcityjournal.com/sports/football/college/usd/usd-s-glenn-delighted-after-first-spring-game/article_b65cf038-16da-5bc6-b738-1d2f06a89007.htmlThere are a lot of reasons to be excited about USD football, and the athletic program in general, and I hope it translates into better support from fans and alumni. Myself, I will be buying a football ticket package for the first time in 9 years. I have been supporting athletic scholarships right along but this coming fall I will be delaying my trip south and making it to as many games as possible. And, I will continue to contribute to the Howling Pack scholarship fund. Its a great time to be a Yote!

usdlaw and yoteforever, very good posts. I still believe it will be a much harder game to win from the players and coaches staindpoint but I better understand the opportunity for gains beyond the W or L measuring stick.

I don't care for the idea of playing NDSU in SF unless it is some kind of quid pro quo for a major facilities donor. We will go into the game as an underdog either way but our chances for a W will be much higher at the Dome. And a possible win in the Dome will do much more for fan and alumni support than a likely loss at SF - no matter how many people maybe in attendance.

Thanks for a great year Lady Yotes, and Coaches. You have left a very positive mark in the annals of Coyote athletics.
Special thanks to the Seniors and best of luck in whatever the future may hold.

For all you breast-beating-bunnies (you know who you are) who come on here expecting yote fans to humble themselves before you, take a breath. The fact is that Nagy's best team ever came to the dome and lost to one of Boot's worst teams. Fact Jack.
Remember those 4 years of 20+ losses? Well, I do. Scott Nagy is still only one missed Prozac away from a box number address at HSC. Granted the stars aligned this season - for the most part - but if you believe the Argus, Nagy gave up on Wolters and his recruitment was more luck than skill. Take him out of the mix and the rest of the team is only upper half in the Summit. And, just because Stu Whitney is now playing second gerbil to TV, that part of your celebration will end sooner than you like.
Finally, for all you rational rabbits, congratulations on your long journey out of the wilderness. I was pulling for you against Baylor simply because the more success you had the sweeter our win will live in history.

I realize this is more than a little late, and some people don't get excited about T & F, but I think it is noteworthy that the Coyote Men's and Ladies' teams performed very well last weekend. Both teams finished higher than the Bunnies who had, what, an 8 year (?) head start in Div. I. www.usdcoyotes.com/sports/track/release.asp?release_id=6952We have long-time, dedicated, coaches who do a fantastic job of recruiting and mentoring our athletes to perform at the highest level. Think about it, recruiting top T & F athletes without outdoor facilities - unbelievable! But, this too will be resolved with the new athletic facility fund raising campaign. T & F will have their much deserved new outdoor track with all the amenities. Again, congrats to our T & F athletes and coaches!

This was another great win and I have to believe these wins (MBB and WBB vs. SDSU) will pay big dividends in upcoming recruiting battles.
These achievements will be topped when we break ground - in the not too distant future, for the new BBall facility.

Please excuse the thread drift but does anyone know if Hegge has any track eligibility remaining? She is an incredible athlete. If memory serves me correctly, she high jumped 5' 9" in high school, plus was a very successful jumper in her early years USD.
