I could be wrong but I believe its called an activities fee at USD not an athletics fee. At least it was when I was there. So should we cut all student funding to drama, theatre, etc. and make them fund themselves or fail. without sports teams a college has no image. How many Minnesota School of business shirts do you see walking around.
If you want to look at it black and white then yes sports teams at almost every college lose money. What would endowments and public support look like at all of those colleges without sports teams?

Augie cant afford it. Heck even the cramprabbits are cutting sports because they cant properly fund them and we both have way more money than Augie ever will.

If it pisses off the bunny turds like I see it is then I am all for it. I'm sure its a matter of minutes before they start trashing it like every other campaign we have ever had.
We should have went with "you can go anywhere from here" for the past 22 years or "jack boys" or "get jacked". Sprinkle in a "FLANNEL FRIDAY" and that is the image I want for a university.

Pizza Ranch also appears to have 45 job openings online for a Vermillion location.
I would say its happening.

Preview of the upcoming season. soundcloud.com/fbgppodcasts/fbgps-fcs-opening-drive-pod-2018-missouri-valley-conference-season-previewOne of the hot takes at the end of the show is that one of the 3 Dakota schools will make the playoffs this year. They picked the cramprabbits as the team to miss. It's interesting because other people I have seen predict this have been ripped apart by fans up North. They just lose way to much on both sides of the ball. Other interesting comments I thought was their praise of the Yotes defense for this year, UNI contending for the conference title, and WIU falling off quite a bit and probably missing the playoffs.

Hopefully this will bring some bunny fans back down to earth and allow them to be more realistic in their views.........but it wont.
Fact is its very hard to get drafted in the NBA. They just do not draft very many players. Especially from smaller schools. Daum is a really good player, but the chance of it happening are very slim even with how good he is.

It's funny because a lot of bunny fans talk shit to USD about letting the conference down with not having baseball or why we dropped baseball. Their fan base also jumped on board with NDSU (as the bunnies do with everything NDSU because they so desperately want to be them kind of like the dorky kid in school) on degrading UND for dropping baseball. They also jumped on board degrading UND about how much trouble they are in with budgets. Looks like things are a little shaky in cow town. You honestly think SDSU dropped tennis because we have a budget issue? Really? I suggest you head over to the regents reports, USD has a very good business school, hopefully you attended it so you can understand basic finance. As for comparing tennis to baseball? SDSU wanted to drop tennis years ago due to our not having facilities for practice, or hosting meets. We kept it around till UND joined so the league minimum stays intact. Oh yes. The mighty humanitarian bunnies saving the day again by keeping tennis until another school can be added. We should all bow to you for everything you have done for others. I didn't hear any reasons for dropping the sport other than MONEY related reasons. But none the less I'm not sure where anywhere in my post I said the SDUI CRAMPRABBITS are having budget problems?

I want to sign a verbal contract with anyone that will agree to it. As an admitted skeptic I have already stated that I am willing to give Todd Lee his shot at continuing this run that the Coyotes are on. I think it is fair that I give him a chance but I want everyone else to be fair as well. If things don't go well such as a sub .500 record in the league or an obvious regression to what Smith has created don't rationalize it or make excuses for anything other than what it is. That happened with Joe Glenn for 4 years like a cult following, especially in year 3. People made every excuse in the book and didn't take the losing for what it was, losing and nothing else. Regardless if you like it or not Lee does have some culpability in whether or not Mooney leaves. I don't think he deserves a ton of credit or blame but at least a little. That is fair. Don't we want a coach that can keep in place what was here when Smith left. Now it looks like we have a de-commit already. Lee has a responsibility to reach out to the recruits that have already committed to keep that relationship going. If someone is going to give credit to Lee if Mooney stays they should also give him a little culpability if he leaves. It goes both ways. If Lee loses some recruits though we can not put all that responsibility on him but it would not exactly be considered a good start. Part of his job will be recruiting and if he loses commitments right off the bat that can't make people feel fuzzy inside about his future recruiting ability. What are you talking about Coyotefan??? You act like what is going on at USD does not happen at every program in the U.S. when a coaching change occurs. Lee stated he was reaching out to current players and recruits to keep them. Losing current recruits or players says nothing about his future ability. These are the comments that make no sense from you and make you lose credibility in the forum. Just stop with them. It's not you being "fair" or "shootin it straight". Coach Lee may have a completely different look for the program than Smith. He can do whatever he wants with current players, recruits, etc. In 3 or 4 years from now if it's a dumpster fire then talk shit. Until then it's his program and vision.

I still remain on the fence with this hire. If I just took everything I read or was told about him I would be more apt to be sold especially when it involved Coyote bias. If I just looked at things objectively and made my own opinion about him I still am worried that the Coyotes will not be able to maintain and build on what coach Smith has done. The resume and career path scare me and when listening to his interviews it does not sell me that the Coyotes are going to be going to the NCAA tourney any time soon. My gut tells me that recruiting may be the biggest issue. IMO if he wins basketball games than I will not care whether he comes from Neptune or whether he is a USD graduate. I worry this was the hire made because of knowing that he might stay long term instead of getting the very best guy for the job. My initial opinion is mid level Summit type team that most probably lags behind SDSU and perhaps others. Coyotefan I have a serious question for you. You love to talk about past performance and history as to your reason for picking against USD etc. but why do you not use that same logic here? All the major coach hires under this administration have been home runs with documented success. So why all of the ridiculous comments over and over again about how this seems like a questionable hire grounded in mediocrity? Then you throw some random BS mid level summit team that lags behind so and so comment. REALLY. Be consistent in your feedback at least. And quit repeating the same negative comment you know is pissing people off.
